  • over 500fps, yikes, skull shatterer:D

  • Curse you Joerg! Now, on top of my longbow project, I want to make one of these! GAHHH!!

Seriously, though, awesome work. Keep it up!

  • WOW!!! your have awesome videos!!! i was wondering how the lever part on the fork works with this specific model?

    Thank you

  • i like it i wanna make it myself

  • Nazi ?!

  • @dmess12 STFU!

  • @Antifaarefags just a question

  • Dang, how long does it take you to make a beast like that? And how big is the ammo your using?

  • where did you get the rubber band from?? please tell me.

  • @DZgoodTimes I buy it on ebay, Thera Band.

  • @JoergSprave is the rubber bands name Thera Band? i want one for my crossbow.

  • you have such a beautiful backyard!!!! you're amazing

  • I really like how you made the front slide forward to cock it. Ive looked at other sling shot rifles that are cocked by pulling back on the pouch and this definitely seems the best design. Great work!!

  • Ich will gar nicht wissen wie viele Metallkugeln schon in deinem Garten liegen :)

  • Superb, utterly superb!

  • Können Sie noch Tipps zum Bau geben - ein How To Do?

  • Gibt es schon, "How to make the Sling-X-Bow at home". Viel Erfolg!

  • very nice

  • Very good 10/10 for video keep up the hard work, Ive subscribed also

  • Besides a buttstock, a forend might be a good idea, as well. Good work!

  • taste my uzi 9mm

  • @CBRTechnology uzis and 9mm suck, joerg could still destroy u with that slingshot

  • asome i like yur videos a lot i also make a lot of slinshot how did you make that one i like it it is very strong and asome can you help me make it because you make the best slinshot in the world

  • Why don't you check out my how-to videos? I have quite a few of them by now.

  • Great idea for the people that have a problem with fork strike. I agree on the band strain. I think latex will start to lose its full potential in as little as 3 seconds under stress and continue to fade. The creativity and craftsmanship of all your slingshots is great.

  • i would buy that, it's so beast

  • You're a dangerous man.

  • I am not dangerous, just able to defend myself. :-)

  • @JoergSprave Haha fair enough fellow ZSer!!

  • @hellstorm702

he's not dangerous, he is just doing dangerous:P

no serious, he loves slingshot and he whants to share it

    whats wrong with that?

  • @hellstorm702 should see his self defence slingshot lol

  • @hellstorm702

he's not dangerous, he's just doing dangerous :P.

no serious, he is just a slingshot addict and whants to share it.

i geuss there is nothing wrong with that right?

  • Where do i buy the rubber?

  • Usually, at a place where they sell it... :-)

Seriously, watch my video "where to find the parts for slingshots"

  • @JoergSprave

can you please do a "how to" for this video

I would very much like to replicate it

by the way i love you videos

  • @colinmaria ebay lol.

  • will 30 jules kill a rabbit small game?

  • nice

  • Hey man I'm absolutely loving the slingshot.... also the trigger mech is very cool. I want to implement the same concept on my homemade airsoft springer but I cannot see exactly how the trigger works, can you explain in a little more detail or do you have a diagram? Thanks so much, Techwizzy, or Gun Freak on SpudFiles...

  • The trigger is just a lever that holds the roller parts together, like a fork. You pull the trigger and the fork lowers, releasing the rollers. Those swing out, because of the pull of the rubber, and the shot falls.

  • @JoergSprave Ahh I think I get it now, I thought it was spring loaded, I didn't think about the bands opening it byt themselves. Thanks!

  • A PSE Tac-15 Is a Crossbow , Made by PSE Archery, that shoots crossbow arrows and fits on to a AR-15 Lower reciever !

  • Great design for getting food to the table...love it !

  • I just upped the rubber... added a third strip of Thera Gold per side. 50% stronger than hunter bands.

Clocked it at 63 m/s with the 26 gramms 16 mm lead balls! That is about 52 Joules.

Still manageable, but that is pretty much the limit.

Serious power... this will break bones, and it is very accurate. Pretty much the ideal poacher's weapon.

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!!

  • How about a collapsable main shaft? Rails used for fully extending drawers come to mind. Fork at the front, grip/release at the back - tough rubber could be stretched with the help of shoulders..

  • GREAT

  • Dude=ur amazing

  • SPITZE! 1A SUPER! Wo ist die Bauenleitung mit den Bauteilskizzen herunterzuladen? ;) Wer baut das in Serie? Kostet? PATENT?

Mal so ein paar spontane Ideen dazu. :)

  • Would it be possible to attach the bands close to the pistol grip, and run the bands around rollers on the forks. Then you would have the same amount of rubber stretch, but your crossbow would only be half as long

  • Rubber stretches 550%. So the rollers wouldn't work, because even if you solve the mechanical problems, 12% length reduction is all you can hope for. Rollers also shorten band life due to the chafing.

  • haha, that is pretty sick, im looking forward to seeing a scope on it now :)

  • Great design, somehow reminds me of PSE Tac15, because the bolt/projectile do not touch the frame and so doesn't loose speed because of friction.

  • What is a PSE Tac15?

  • @JoergSprave An innovative crossbow made by the American bow company PSE. You can find some videos here in YouTube :)

  • @JoergSprave PSE Tac15 crossbow is another military toy. It has a 170 lb draw and shoots a 26" 450 grain bolt at 412 fps! They say it can shoot two arrows in the same hole at 100 yards. It costs $1200 and mounts on an AR-15 upper. It has rails on the bottom to mount all kinds of accessories.

  • You are a sling shot god. Amazing. I would love one. That would be fine in the UK under UK law too. You could make that as powerfull as you wanted.

  • AWESOME! I knew you'd figure it out eventually. I lke to see more of this one. The odd thing is that here our slingshots can have a brace but it is illeagle to hunt with a crossbow unless you have a handicap permit. 5*

  • ingenious and wonderful can't wait to see it stocked and scoped..vegetable cans beware

  • Very nice Any plans on a DIY video? I hope so I would love to make one of them.

  • I can't see how you can make one without welding gear and skills. Not many people in my audience could follow such a DIY vid. If a skilled mechanic watches this video, he will immediately know how it is made.

  • Very nice any plans on showing a DIY on the crossbow ? If not would love to e-mail you about how it is made.

    Thanks and like your vid's.

  • Coool, that is great idea

  • ive made one to 2 weeks ago but i think its to ugly to upload haha i used some painting rollers and attached the bands on the bottom to make it even more powerfull why painting rollers ? well i dont have enough ball bearing rollers to make it haha

  • Very nice.

Is the slide lock a pin in a hole (my guess) or is it friction?

  • Pin in a hole is correct. A 10 mm aluminum pin, to be specific. Friction - no way.

  • It looks like fun but I'm not sure I see the point of this slingshot. It seems like the biggest advantage would be that it is ready to fire so if you were hunting rabbits or something which you need to be quick for you could fire straight after aiming but like you mentioned in the video the power of the rubber would start to decrease pretty quickly after being drawn.

I apologise if I am missing something but are there any specific advantages to this crossbow?

  • The main advantage over a normal slingshot is that it is very accurate. And you can keep it cocked for a few minutes, no problem.

It is more powerful than most air rifles, especially here in Germany (7,5 Joule limit).

  • @JoergSprave Ahh, of course I forgot to factor in the power, the air rifle limit is 16 Joules in the UK. Thanks for your reply.

  • I made something like that a few months back..me and my friend constructed a gun type slingshot(crossbow). We used shock cord and we were firing marbles. All it was was one long piece (80cm) and one horizontal piece going across the front acting as the fork. It could shoot pretty fast. Since then i've made another one, except with a longer horizontal piece and a longer middle piece (1m) and it has been redesigned to shoot arrows...goes straight thru wood no sweat.

  • you gotta start selling youre slingshot inventions i would pay $60 for that

  • Sorry, I don't sell. Also it took me a whole Saturday to make this one, handmade products would have to be way more expensive. This is just a hobby!

  • @JoergSprave then how about a how to vid yeh yeh it needs welding but still

  • that things brilliant mate!

  • Great design!!! I think that's a winner Joerg!!!!!

  • Your a genious!

  • could u keep holdin the rod/grip that cocks the thing.. so u can use it for like a rest.. or to make it more steady like a rifle?

  • Sure! That works. But I have to make a sighting system.

  • @JoergSprave yea.. that would be good.. u should make a vid on how to make his one.. im sure alot of people would apprieciate that

  • fantastisch ! eine Kombination meiner beiden Lieblingswaffen

  • Looks like loads of fun.

I would like a how to video for this one!

  • Well, you need welding gear. Not many people do.

  • thats 1 of the best designs so far! nice one Joerg!

  • Somewhat reminds me of G3 rifle... because of the two cylinders holding pouch.

R+D tip: make front end longer, so rubber cant fly over it and hook under, thus front handle can be instantly retracted back without need to play with rubber. Some form of folding feeler would look cool. PS. the holding mechanism is brilliant.

  • it is great... POLAND_SPUD

  • Just ordered a Dankung Cougar. Looking forward to using it. It's been a long time since I've used a slingshot. I used to have a Barnett Diablo II and got very accurate with it. It had full balancers though, so I'm hoping that with practice I can get accurate enough with the cougar to hunt small game.

  • For the first shot, 16mm ball, 417grains at 175fps, 39 joules as Joerg reports, converts to 29 ft pounds of muzzle energy.

  • That design is ingenious, with a tactical stock and sight, maybe even a spring magazine and it will look awesome

  • Very nice design keep the work i am going try to make a gatling gun slingshot i would post vid but might take a month

  • Appreciate the passion that is apart of your work as I also have a hobbie that provides bliss and excitment to the extent that some might consider it illegal. One will work and create late into the night or until the next day and at any chance. The product is the result, yet the process, the act of creating, the experience, is the real goal. I suspect that the inventor and craftsman is as much an artist as was da Vinci.

  • Have any of your weapons accidentaly fired before?

  • wie bist du nur auf diesen genial einfachen auslösemechanismus gekommen?

  • Getüftelt halt, nach guter alter Erfindermanier.

  • I very much like this design too! Will you be selling these, or plans, or kits, or can you sell the design to someone else to do so?

  • Selling the design is probably not possible - it is so simple, every mechanic can make one just from watching my video. And no, I don't sell any slingshot or accessory, this is just a hobby.

  • Hi joerg. would it loose power if left cocked for long periods of time. like a spring powered air gun ?

  • Yes, it would loose power quickly. That is the reason for the sliding fork.

  • Das ist ja Wahnsinn! =:-o

Das ist wirklich dein ultimatives Meisterwerk Jörg!

  • lol... cool your very innovative!

  • if the front handle is replaced by a foot stirrup, a much more powerfull band could be used. Its a very nice design 'cause it can be reloaded very quickly and could also serve as a sound base for a repeating model using similar techniques as on the chinese repeating crossbow. If used with hard rubber ball ammo this slingshot-gun can be great as a legal and non-lethal selfdefense weapon.

  • OMg i want one like that its a great invention

  • nice shit O_o

  • Very well done. How about pictures of the trigger mechanism?

  • Sure, hit the forums and you will see the pics.

  • You are on on to something that could be sold at american sporting good stores Joerg! Almost anybody could fire that making it a marketable item! Well done!

  • Yes, this is easy to draw out, much less draw weight than a bow or a crossbow. Rubber is simply very efficient.

  • speed is not too fast, must add much bigger pull for hunting, then become very dangerous weapon, the pull even enhance 75kg .wow, not allowed.maybe...lol...

  • This has the same power as the Fish Hunter slingshots, plenty of power for small game. I can attach stronger bands, but that would only be interesting for even bigger ammo.

  • YOU ARE A GOD

  • joerg Just when i think you've made all your designs and you cannot possibly make something new...OPE! you post a video doing what I thought you couldn't haha...

  • Holy shit, yet another genuine and original idea from Joerg, swear to God, when I go to Germany I so want to meet you :D.

  • very nice joerg! and with a stock (riffle butt) and sight (may be red dot sight ?)would be and look amazing after you have finished it! i look forward to your next vid on this!

thank you kindly for the vid!

    stay safe pip

  • Very very nice dude! If you are going to add a stock, add like a aks 47 style folding stock!

  • Once again i am amazed by your innovations.

    Great work there!

  • That was so freaking awesome !

  • Its more like a harpoon gun, buts its 100% cool!

  • Voll geil !!

  • Nice , i like it

  • first=
