the whole idea in this thing is that a human does it and reacts to the crowd and the atmosphere... these sounds can all be played with software no need for scratcher and definitly not a huge robot arm.

1. Ableton Live: make scratch patterns as MIDI and send MIDI messages.

2.MaxMSP: convert them from MIDI to OSC and send them to Robot Arm App.

3.Robot Arm App: convert from OSC message to Serial Command and control Robot Arm.

osc message is like this,

/scratch position speed

/fader position speed

/pad position speed

Very cool! It's amazing that a robot can pull off such clean chirps. To make the record not skip so much you might want to make the motion graph more of a parabola. Those sudden turns are what makes it skip.
