I've seen the video in which Churchill comments on both the 1st and 9th amendment, and this guy completetly twisted what he said! You must also take into account the fact that Churchill was also speaking "tribal law" and any rights contained there in, that may come in cflict with what ever claim of 1st amendment infringement. As he stated clearly, he has the right to NOT celebrate any person or entity that has initiated contions , like slavery, and other conditons that remove human dignity.

He does have the right to NOT celebrate it, but that doesn't mean people don't have a right TO celebrate it. I hate that there are Colombus Day parades and I like that they are being protested, but people have the right to still do those parades just as people have the right to protest them. It's the same way with the KKK in that nobody but them likes what they're saying, but as long as no one is hurt, they can still rally and say it.

No matter what arguments are made, common sense and moral aptitude should allow an educated person to make a moral decision about what to support and what not to support. What Columbus did is justified in historical context only because we won. Had Adolf been successful in establishing his grand vision I have no doubt the majority of people would be celebrating Hitler Day...or Crematorium Day. Always question established beliefs.

Not sure what your trying to say there, or how it relates to my post. However, I do believe very strongly that right and wrong are not merely contextual. IN my view, had Hitler remained in power, all people subject to his rule would be living in fear. I knew refugees from WWII as a youngster. Regarding Ward, we see another issue: Deliberate deception in the form of this red herring( 9th amendment) to support a wide range of assertions. Ward was intellectually dishonest.

Regarding a man attempting to advance his views, i ask only one thing: BE sincere! Obviously, Ward has failed the basic minimum integrity required to expect credibility for his argument.
