I'm 69 yrs old and started watching the 70's show a couple of years ago. It is one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. The writing is great! My favorites are Kitty and Red. They have some of the funniest lines and expressions.  All the actors are good.

the back laughs are actually the cast. they all laugh at the jokes and record them... correct me if im wrong but ive never heard any other show do that

But, what jokes? the girl says "hello Michael" and there are laughs. Mr. Demi Moore answers "hey Joyce" and there are laughs again. Where's the beef?

I think Home Improvement was recorded with audience. And imho the laughs in H.I. sound more natural than in the 70's.

I don't think they do that. In the Thanksgiving episode from the first season you can hear Eric laughing in the background but that's about it.
