  • INDEPENDENTPRODUCTS should watch this.

  • men cry at black hawk down and women at titanic !!!

  • The scene where they're crashing, the scene where the snipers drop in to try to help them, and the scene where the airborne guy falls from the rope make this the most emotional movie ever for me :'(

  • sometimes i wonder where that second rpg went...

  • they make Mike Durant sound like such a pussy

  • all this could have been avoided if washington authorized the use of ac 130s.... just bomb the fuck outa those somalis :P

  • R!!P!!G!!!!

  • Ray!!

  • @comerbran its called good tactic and it got the americans hard on that one

  • You can hear the nervousness in his voice. . .

  • @comerbran

You, sir, are a joke. They are Somalia militia & civilian fighters under the command of Mohamed Farrah Aidid.

  • @comerbran dude there somailan

  • Delta Force 2013 haahha

  • @comerbran TALIBAN?

    AHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • can some one tell me where to get the music at 0:11

  • upvote if reddit sent you here

  • @Jewdai Why?

  • Noooo

  • rayyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • What was Michael Durant's last words when they hit the ground? Is that even him who shouted?...Just wanna clear out things.

  • @MarineCorpsRaiders I assume its "Brace!"

  • @MarineCorpsRaiders Actually it isn't "Brace". Before crashing, his book "In The Company of Heroes", he shouted "Ray"

  • @crazyfire9117 - Both are possible answers, but yeah, why Ray?

  • @MarineCorpsRaiders Maybe because his co-pilots name is Ray and maybe he said it in a way like get ready for impact.

  • @MarineCorpsRaiders Because its the fear and anxiety that comes with the thought of "Oh shit where is this bird gonna land" And the guy next to him Raymond A. Frank so the only name and person he could have thought of was his friend and fellow pilot.

  • @MarineCorpsRaiders From the book "In the Company of Heroes", he wrote, " I knew I was going to die, and I must have clenched the mike key as I screamed his name, shooting a paralyzing chill through everyone on the net. 'Raaaayyyy!' And then the rubber and the steel met the road...." Like ridder6689 stated, Ray was his friend and Durant saw he was fighting for survival. Durant must have wanted Ray to have made it and shouted into the mic not knowing it was broadcast among the net channel.

  • mathews voice is awesome who agrees?

  • @Reconseal4050 Raul3k11 is right without a tail rotor or the equivalent of one on the rear of the helo the torque makes it impossible to fly the helicopter. They used auto rotation to set the bird down as gently as possible by essentially changing the angle of the blades to increase drag before touchdown. This slows the aircraft down and raises the chances that the crash will be survivable.

  • cant help it but to wounder how does it feel in those last seconds when your helicopter is crashing...

  • @JackShekalat thinking in your head like "this is it...."

  • looks like Rio de Janeiro - Brazil... haha

  • @ reconseal4050 take a class on the physics of flight... Or use some basic logic! Your horizontal rotor has lots of torque... So much that if you didn't have a rear, vertical rotor, the helicopter would essentially turn around the propeller (exaggerated, but semi-correct). The rear vertical rotor puts so much force in the opposite direction that the rotors are turning, it keeps the chopper in place. Applying force to either rudder pedal will either speed up the rear vertical rotor, or slow it d

  • Wait...if u lose the tail motor then the black hawk cant fly anymore? i thought hawks could still fly without the tail motor

  • @Reconseal4050 if u lose ur tail rutor u basically lose control of the helicopter

  • @Reconseal4050 Any helicopter with a tail rotor can't fly without it however there are some that don't even have them and can fly

  • well that movie was made near my hometown in Morocco :D

  • @PatoWiNNERS cool :)

  • @PatoWiNNERS I thought this is in somalia...

  • @gavra98

    it was filmed in morocco

  • could someone remind me again, how the heck did the rangers lose againt skin and bones with old shitty rifles? >_>

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 they didnt lose, they accomplished their mission which was to capture leading members of aidids clan and they killed way more militia than they lost. it was a success just with difficulties

  • @N3k0h8t3n hmm, i know that the somalis lost thousands, but the u.s. still won? you mean the movie of course? cuz ive heard in alot of vid's, and i read somewhere, that the operation failed.. hmm

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 iv watched the film, read the book and watched a few documentaries on it, i do think they won because they got what they went for, but it just didnt go as well as planned.

  • @N3k0h8t3n oh, okay then. i will always have a huge amount of respect for the US armed forces anyways.

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 aha same, im not from the US though :L

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 Sure americans would fight for liberty at the other side of the world and ppl still talk shit about damn

  • @fox100cool yeah... perhaps because the U.S. can be a bit reckless in others countries sometimes lol.

  • hey doesnt zac effron play the pilot of 64?

  • 'WHAT HAPPENED?" "HE FELL!"

  • Why The Radio Man is always Clam just like nothing happend......

  • @T3mbokx cause they knew they were gonna die anyway so why not be prepared

  • For a while I thought that it was Tim Roth playing Durant instead of Ron Eldard. Ron did a phenomenal job. Love this movie! And the helicopters... so hot!

  • @0:23 look at the gunner on da left is he shooting or what bacuse i can kinda c the gun glash and stuff falling

  • @AnZJm i ment flash

  • @AnZJm he was shooting. You could flashes and the bullet shells falling.

  • @yankee1fangnd aha thanks and looking back at this i noticed i spelt flash glash my error

  • @AmericanN00B exactly, they are untrained and prepared from blackmarkets. if u put an M16 or M4 (rifles that are prone to jam if mishandled) they would never figure out how to unjam it in time and RPG's can be reloaded, AT4's are one shot and Javelins are, well their Javelins, i wouldnt expect to see them with that kind of technology. i mean their "humvee" was probly a .30 cal or .50 on the back of a pickup. so ya they wer the worst becuz they wer simple.

  • @MegaEversman i agree man, i can't wait till a new one like this comes up,

  • @marf7245 remember when on October 3rd-4th of 1993 we lost 19 men and 73 more were wounded?

Remember when US troops rallied to rescue the wounded and dead?

now you want to bitch about a fucking ad and a few limits? suck it up

  • @JohnSheppard339 dude i completely agree with what your saying its just, i think they should have taken a couple APC's with them considering the speed at which the humvees and trucks were moving in the city didnt rise about 45mph and the bradleys could have reached that speed easy

  • can't believe u didn't include the part where he says "we got a black hawk down, we got a black hawk down".

  • @dsdan83

    That was after 6-1 crashed.

  • male titanic

  • @Nex5y

The Only time I did'tn use the "I just got something in my Eye" exuse,,,

  • @Nex5y huh?

  • @Nex5y agreed!

  • @Nex5y what is that mean?

  • The pilot sounds scared to shit in the beginning, I would be too.

  • @TheMilitaryfan97

It's made up, in real event, Super 64 spun much faster at a shocking rate of 4 rounds a second to the point that both pilots lost orientation and couldn't reach the flight controls because of the G-Force.

  • @Airshow2010 no the camera footage there when its on the blue overhead screen is actual footage

  • Only 4 Blackhawks were left that day out of the 9 Blackhawks. Surviving Blackhawks: Super 63 (C2 Bird) Super 65 Super 67 (Carried Chalk 4, Super 61 only carried snipers and no chalks unlike in the movie where they took chalk 4) Super 69 Downed Black Hawks Super 61 Super 62 (hit by an RPG just after delivering the snipers) Super 64 Super 66 (hit after the re-suply run at night, rangers actually ran out of ammo and fought with bare hands for a while) Super 68 (RPG hit in the main rotor)
  • It's sad how Super 62 lost both Snipers (Shughart&Gordon) and their right gunner (they were hit by and RPG shortly after letting off the snipers and then crashed near the docks. The Super 62 crew was later rescued by the crew of Super 68 - In real life it was amazing that super 68 had been hit by an RPG in the main rotor and made it back to base. Then the Super 68 crew went to Super 69-standby blackhawk and went back to save super 62 just in time.

  • @Airshow2010 I thought the gunner was hit on 62 the crew chief took his spot then they droped off shughart and gordan then took a rpg to the cockpit that killed the co-pilot but they made it back to base

  • this movie is really cool but not to injoy its really sad what happend the day the real dayof black hawk down

  • this is by far the gretest movie i hav ever seen

  • @TheMilitaryFan I believe it to have been taken from the real footage, well quite a number have told me it is, so yes it is real. /-:

  • @TheHonours16

it isn't the real footage...but..the story is real....

  • imagine theree shere terror going down well they are faceing somalians

  • Fuck you American haters!

    America rules!

They saved our asses in WWII, Actually they saved the whole world.

I hate asseholes who dis America cause they always Intervene.

But to be honest Africa is a waste of time.

Just give em Condoms and guns, In a few years Africa should be ready for us.

    Nah just kidding.

But fuck thoses somali niggas, What they did to the bodies was disgusting.

    Thats something animals would do.

Oh wait Africa is full of animals.

  • I'm sure they were AKM's not AK-47s as the latter was only produced for a few years.

  • 0:00 "Super Six four, go to the same position where we lost Super Six One and take his position... ok?"

    0:02 "Are you friggin' retarded?"

  • God bless Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart

  • no super 64

  • Why they hit every time the tail-rotor? Lol,fucking somali´s!

  • RIP Donovan "BULL" Briley from North Little Rock Arkansas

  • RIP Donovan Briley From North Little Rock Arkansas

  • this is why i going to join the NAVY

  • @KILLAH1503 well, u should check ur motives again.

  • @KILLAH1503 As if they could do better? As if they never lost? They are in ships all day.

  • O.o sagte er nicht immer: we got a black hawk down we got a black hawk down

    super 6 1 is down?

  • @SuperMegaFart Geneal Garrison Requested AC-130 Gunships But Secretary Of Defense Les Aspin Denied Permission

  • this would have been a great mission if they had fucking ac130 gunship support!

  • No offence but the simplelest of things could have saved 61 n 64 just inform U.N

that way reinforcements would be inbound and at the ready. :/

  • @tobyburn they tried getting the UN forces that were also there like the pakistani army group but the UN was too slow for us (or we're too fast for them). they thought it would be simple for just the US but the first black hawk got hit and everything went FUBAR after that. something that was arranged to take 30 mins lasted for hours.

  • hey what were all 4 pilots names?

  • @Arbiter06 i only know the pilot of super 6-1 Preston wallcott

  • @1085dudes

no, there were 2 black hawks that went down. super 6-1 was the first, super 6-4 was the 2nd

  • Awesome movie. Super 64 going down

  • I love how the AK is a Russian gun but these damn terrorists make it look like a, well, "terrorist" gun.

  • @DeadI7182 Because it is. The AK isn't a "Russian" gun. It's a Soviet gun, which is EXACTLY why is a terrorist gun.

  • Is there a reason why the camera goes to the helicopter's digital compass every time one gets hit?

    "Super 6-4, are you ok?"

":makes sure compass still works: Yep, we're good"

  • @MidgardEagle That's not a compass. It shows how level the blackhawk is to the ground.

  • those militia and mobs are invisible in the shadow. too Dark

  • OMG,I still get chills when I see this.

  • i remenber this movie so good

  • @americanN00B

I would have to diagree with you. The war in Somalia was mostly if not only close combat. And they Ak-47s and RPGs are great for untrained arms for the are the simplest weapons known to man back then and possibly today. They have the fewest moving prts which will almost guarantee then not to malfunction. So yes at long range they are inaccurate to untrained, but most militia dont fight long range. So the AK47 is perfect for untrained arms because its simple and effective.

  • @hound442 That is why they are the worst weapons to give to them, cause they dont need to learn how to use them.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey did anyone notice that the bird in this part of the movie is a HH-60 pavehawk not a UH-60 blackhawk

  • @EmanGoodwin1 of curse that's the one the 160th SOAR use .....

  • I'd be like... "Oh crap, oh crap. oh crap... Fucking rotors why won't you work!"

  • Had quite an affinity for hitting tail rotors, those Somali rocket guys, didn't they?

  • i know they barly even aimed

  • 61 AND 64 IS DOWN.

  • My dad was in the war, not the movie but the real life war of this :D he still alivee

  • @technutty

can he say that the movie was similar to what happened really?

  • @Bobalo2 well i havent seen in im not sure if should ask him though cos he probaly cany rmeber

  • situations like this- u wish u had a transporter to beam you outta the crashing copter :(

  • me in the helicopter : SHIT SHIT IF WE GO DOWN YOUR A FAGGET GAY DIPSHIT MOTHERFUCKER FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT SHIT SHIT SHIT GAY N STUFF fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk (helicopter explodes)

  • @kakashy1997 lol

  • @kakashy1997 hhahaha very trueee , Oh my god ohh geez im dizzzy 64 is going downnnn holyy *Crashhhh*

  • @kakashy1997 Oh really? So if a helicopter is going down, the guy he's talking to is a faggot? He's gay? Nooooo nonono. You don't know what gay means do you? Or maybe you do. It's PERFECTLY ok to call people gay or a faggot or a retard. But it's not ok to call someone a nigger because that's "PREJUDICE". NEWS FLASH SO IS FAGGOT, RETARD, AND GAY!

  • Love this film

  • probably the worst part of the fight and the movie. another bad part is when the tow snipers die. whos names i cant remember i think its ray gordon and gary shughart

  • gary gordon and randy shugart

  • is durant a paraplegick now after the crash?

  • "Super Six four, come in and take Walcott's position."

I WOULD SHIT MYSELF AFTER THEY TOLD YOU TO DO THAT.

You can hear how nervous Durant's actor is, how he portrays it..Lol.

  • they got this scene perfectly. right before durant crashed he screamed RAY! which was his copilot. surprisingly, the film never portrayed the entire crew's survival. everyone lived and the pilots broke their backs and legs but i think the fucking sand niggers killed them

  • Keep calm in a going down helo.

  • 7dc could you please put up some of the fight scenes your the only person not to ruin them with crappy music.

  • I would crap m pants in a crashing chopper

  • me in that chopper:HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY

  • You In that Chopper saying holy shit

I would crap my pants in a crashing helicopter

  • lol the pilot in super 64 he looks abit calm in begining..

  • The soldiers used all there guns on semi.

That's because the skinnies had no armour and were skinny runts.

    One hit, one kill!

  • one hit kill ? in the book it says that the ranger's and delta's 5.62mm greenpoints (bullets) didnt kill unless the target was shot multiple times. and for the semi auto thing? if the soldiers used there weapons on semi-auto it was probbly near the end of the battle when they relised that they'd need to save ammunition.

  • @RippinDownTheWalls What's semi?

  • im not embarrassed. we were trying to help somalia and you skinnies were stupid and just fought us lol. and remember, just in that one firefight, you lost over a thousand. we lost about 18. God bless our soldiers.

  • 19 US forces lost 19 men

  • you really believe all that shit you type ? oh ye, thanks for the help lol, theres still the conflict in there, you didnt do nothing man.

you really need to learn to wipe your own 16´s ass before you make comments like this one.

  • @lilgux Yes, 19 good men who lost their lives for a pointless cause. Have you seen Somalia now? Is it better? Is it back on its feet? No, it's exactly the same, if not worse than before you came.

  • IT IS NOT FOR A POINTLESS CAUSE!!!

How do you know if they fought to keep each other alive? To bring their friends and members of family home? huh?

    >:(

  • @AsILayDyingOWNS77 That's survival, not a cause

  • amen

  • Help Somalia? You mean help poor 3rd world countries by using your control of international trade laws to make it so that the poor countries have no choice but to make trades with america in such a way that they will lose money and america will get even richer?

Just look up African ground-nut or peanut trade with america.

  • ya because America isnt already a trillion dollars in debt. right so you keep thinking that

  • america is indeed in debt.

Doesn't mean they haven't been exploiting africa & other similar countries.

Look at the info I gave you to look at, then you'll see.

Alternately, choose to believe whatever you want, that's the approach I suspect you'll take.

  • It's not like America is the only one that does that, look at other European country -,-

  • You have a very valid point; European countries also exploit Africa.

If I saw a European claiming that we don't, I'd also correct him.

    :-)

  • Haha messed up how we all take advantage of Africa....

  • they werent in debt then

    1993

  • @lilgux Fucking Americans. Thinking they are heroes. You ARE NOT! Bout time your getting out of Iraq. Why were you in there agian?

  • @RedSektion ...and you know how much about their operations in Somalia? Or why they were in there? Or how successful they were?

  • @lilgux And God bless the enemy soldiers too.

  • @lilgux others did accept the help, there was just a conflict between those people. and i appreciate that you Americans trying to help other countries ( =

  • @lilgux Don't think they're all the same, now. :) Many Somalians were happy to have the americans there. Most of the ones fighting US forces were doing so because the militia commanders were the ones giving heavily rationed food out to their families.

  • @Jetman123 Dont forget the free drugs they handed out for joining the militia. This whole fight was a fiasco thanks to our "fearless" leaders in DC who would not sign off on Armor and AC130 support.

  • @lilgux You may have lost 18 but they lost 4000 so ha ha!

  • @lilgux Its still sad that you probably think your ''soldiers'''did all the work while ''skinnies'' like Malaysia and Pakistan saved your sorry ass over there

  • @lilgux fuckin niggers

  • @lilgux See, I support the troops, but shut the FUCK up. We came no where close to capturing Adid. We lost two Blackhawks. Wounded over half of our men. What does that show you? Even the best can lose.

  • wow 6-4 takes 6-1's position and get's taken down! i mean come on why waste good hardware and men on a couple of buck's worth of RPG's!!!!!

  • AK-47 and RPG-7 worst guns to give to untrained people.

  • wrong.

  • @AmericanN00B

The reason the AK-47 and RPG-7 are so widely used is for two reasons.

    1. They are cheap as dirt.

    2. the exact opposite of what you said. They are so simple its ridiculous, especially the AK. I could teach a child to field strip and clean an AK in less than 20 minutes. That is how simple a weapon it is.

  • @Morgun1234 I think you don't really need to clean the AK47 ....

  • @Morgun1234 That's what I meant. Untrained soldiers will be very effective using these weapons. Give them anything else and they will be clueless and helpless.

  • @AmericanN00B and rpg-7's are NEVER supposed to be aimed into the sky. the back blast of the rpg can kill its launcher. so the fact that the somalis hit the choppers was partly luck and skill. osama bin laden train some somalis in the sudan after figuring out that rpgs in the tail rotors of russian Mi-17 and Mi-28's in Afghanistan was the most effective way of taking a chopper down.

  • @chillaxer1993 I believe I read somewhere the Somalis modified their RPG-7s to deflect the backblast upwards, thus allowing high angle launches.

  • @AmericanN00B

Incorrect, AK 47 is the simplest and most easiest to operate. It requires very little maintenance and can take a beating. It is also cheap.. so please explain how giving that to untrained soldiers doesnt make sense.. The ak 47 has killed more people on earth than any other weapon to date. You sir, coudnt be more wrong
