In many ways, I miss my Atari (a TT...well, a bunch of them actually)...the perfect 'midi' computer, and yes, to render an few seconds of animation could take overnight, even longer. Jean Michelle Jarre aptly demonstrated what could be done with trip a tron around the same time.

Which Atari ST did you use for this CAD demo? Was it upgraded with a FPU co-processor to achieve faster encoding? If not I imagine this would have taken months, day and night to process!
Thanks. It was a standard Mega4. Youre right, it did take a long time. Id often leave it rendering 3D stuff over night and come down in the morning to find a couple of seconds of animation.
This is awesome! I never knew the Atari ST was capable of stuff like this!
