A certain number of bear have to be taken every year to keep the population at the right ratio. This is done by permit and only a certain amount of permits are issued each year.

i like this video. sometime i wana go up north and do some bear hunting my self. personally i just like going out and being in the out doors. it is a really good time being out side enjoying the wildlife. it isn't all about the killing but it sure is nice when you get one. good job!

I dunno about these guys, but here in Canada we typically hunt bears in the nude. We usually taunt it's mother then proceed to kick it's ass. We of course eat the meat and use the fur.

We use the fur to disguise ourselves as a bear on the way back to our igloo. When the village guards see us coming we then have to fight the guards with our bear costume, and only then, after killing a bear, and at least 2 guards we are allowed Kraft Dinner.

@mmamilano I have seen some pretty good looking cows at the slaughter house too. LOL. Atleat the Bear got to experience the wild and lived his life the way he wanted to. I am sure his life was more satisfying than last nights dinner that donated a steak. Or the chicken you got from KFC.

People condemn hunting, yet they justify lining up thousands of cows a day n slaughter houses, feed them, water them, pet them, even give some names. Then 1 day, u walk em to the slaughter room, give em a jolt of electricity that kills them & u justify that? The Nazis did the same 2 people. LOL. Atleast the bear had a life, which was more than your slaughterhouse cows & chickens. U will always only recognize your slaughter house cows & chickens wrapped in plastic from Krogers.

@rajvosa71000 It doesnt matter if I eat it or not. My reasons do not have to justify your reasons. That is not included or required on the bear tag. It only states that I have to pay $500 of the tag, $85 for the license and what ever the guide costs. No where in the regs does it say anything about eating.

That may be your requirement, but not mine or the state of Alaska. Perhaps you should run for office and place a new law in the regulations. LOL.
