I fully believe that sex offenders can be rehabilitated, last year only 40% of sex offenders who were released in the USA went on to re-offend, whereas that may seem like a shocking number, in comparison to last years (78%) it's a big drop, showing that these people (as they are still people.) can be reformed and we are getting better at reforming them.

lumpagogo you obviously know nothing about the practices of Tiller. He quite possibly was going to be charged with malpractice as he was in a legal battle at the time of his death. Roe v Wade has nothing to do with the laws he was breaking according to the mountains of evidence against him, "stupid and gullible" seems to be your choice of color. Why not put your obvious vehemence to use by getting the law changed to allow the summary execution (because that's what it was, an execution) by any gun carrying man (or woman, or child) with a disagreement instead of wasting your time on someone who's already dead?

IF all the late term abortions that he did were totally necessary for the life of the mother, or for fetal deformities no one would hate him. The fact is he aborted healthy pregnancies during the third trimester on healthy fetuses for reasons other than life of the mother. Just because she was depressed or whatever. Tiller was a murderer. I do not support his murder, but I am relieved he's gone, think of the many late term fetuses who's lives will be saved.

(that's an over simplification, but i can't discuss it exhaustively here, sorry). from a historical point of view, capital punishment isn't thge abberation. not implementing it is, but i gotta tell you, i'm torn. the law is the law. even thought i think the shooter is a hero, the law demands punishment.

God goes on to outline the capital offenses in "the book of the law". there are about 30 of 'em, but that's not my point. the point is that the ancient hebrews differentiated between murder and capital punishment. in fact, most people groups the world over have always done so. always. the rational being that a human life is so valuable that if you take one, you must pay the ultimate price.
