Don't get me wrong, this is a bad ass drawing but if the tail rotor is going to have 4 blades, shouldn't the main rotor have 4 blades instead of two?

Thank you APACHESTRATHE140 for your nice comment. Well, the tail rotor does have two blades :) I wanted to roughly show its movement, maybe that's why it looks like it has four blades. Maybe I didn't do a good job in showing it. But thanks again for your comment.

Hi ajg945, In this video I had used AD Markers. But for the last few years I've been using PRISMACOLOR premier markers, with two tips. Good luck :)

Thank you goalietonio for your comment. I think it's because it is a squared shape and also as a military equipment it is in mat color with no reflections, you see it that way. But if you see the original sketch, you can see the little details that are not visible in this little low resolution video, I'm sure you wouldn't say it looks like wood :) But thanks again for your comment. It's always good to hear comments, it helps to do a better job next time :)

By the way "goalietonio", you can check another video of mine which shows more renderings and I believe they don't look like wood :)

Thank you for your comment, although I have to say, your comment is strictly a taste matter :) The thing is, I wanted this sketch to be in this color and I wanted this helicopter to have the square shape. It's good thing I wasn't designing it for you, then I would have really been in trouble :)

So my problem is that my prisma markers leave blotches when I don't make the fastest possible stroke... I know that with practice I will get much better at launching more exciting marker lines, but do you find the juiciness of the Chartpak markers to work better? And what kind of paper do you use? Thanks for the help!

Hello Gcontroller, don't worry about those marker lines. By practice you'll know how much you have to press the marker and how fast. Even if you can see them it would be okay. It's just a marker sketch. And try not to go over a section too many times, because it'll get darker or it might bleed outside your lines. I usually use good (Computer) printing paper for my sketches and it works. If you have more questions please don't hesitate to ask. I hope I was able to help out a little. Good luck :)

this is the best drawing / scetch i have seen in a long time .. very suprised at the end result i was sent it by a friend and thought here we go again but DAMMMMMMMM! that is sickk .. i have never seen such a detaled drawing in that sort of perspective before you got tallent keep up the great work .. could you help me with starting out .. how do you know what the outline is going to be like the shape and size? because everthink lucks like its to scale very very impressive keep it up

Wow, thank you armyjamiearmy, It's always great to receive great complements :) You know, when I have an idea to sketch, I first try to get the basic shape and of course in CORRECT PERSPECTIVE. Then the overall shading, after that the ideas start coming and I go along adding the details, and once I notice that it looks good I stop and I don't over do it. I actually have some of his work, which is very cool. He painted/sketched (24x18) my motorcycle from a photo, it looks so real just like a blown up photo only better. He is a great talent.
