This kid is good. His coaches just need to push him to keep trying hard. As past experience has taught me that most kids stop trying their best because they either get too cocky that they believe that they don't have to try anymore, or they lose interest in soccer. He should set his goal as high as possible, that being to be the best in the world. Otherwise he is destined to be an average pro-player, if even destined to be a pro-player at all. Example: Freddy Adu, too much hype for nothing.
