  • i cry everytime , it's so sad, great film, and great christopher walken !!!

  • i love christopher walken one of my favorite actors!

  • This just had me in tears. Such a sad scene and a sad movie overall.

  • THE ICE... IS GONNA BREAK

  • What was this movie called? It looks really good and I wanna watch it.

  • @CN2131

The Dead Zone... and it is also really good.

  • Can't wait to get this movie in the mail.

  • Not to be that guy, but those assholes are letting all the heat out. That house is gonna be cold! close the damn door.

  • Walken should have won an Oscar for this. Damn the academy.I don't think Bob held a candle to this.

  • Oh my GOSH that was an awesome movie. Christopher Walken looked so young then, it's amazing! :)) he's gotta be one of the greatest actors of all time. Respect the classics, hands down.

  • That was an awesome movie.

I remember seeing it in a theater back in '83.

  • @grumpypant.i m sure that s what john would see, should he shakes hands with obama.i had myself a vision.it lasted for about half a second, looking down on a highway,i saw burned cars and roads.

  • I love this movie for one reason... Christopher Walken!!!

  • To me, that image of the boys sinking to the bottum is far more disurbing then Dodd eating his scissors.

  • why are you crying Johhny?

  • Awkward hug is awkward.

  • Why do they change so much?? Sarah was blonde, his student wasnt Chris, it was Chuck, and he was 18 lol.

Just one of the many things they could have kept the same as the book and made it better in my opinion.

  • @CONCRETE13 just remember that cronenburg did this. He always have a reason for everything! ;)

  • But Sarah never backed Stillson in the book.......

  • Boy this clip makes you want to watch the whole movie.

  • Christopher Walken > Jesus

  • That slayed me.

  • Christopher Walken is so lovely. That's the kind of dude I could totally fell in love with. He is beautiful, inside and on the outside.

  • This story is amazing, Stillsons' Carisma makes me remeber the recently Obama's Succes arround the world, it's scary.

  • The book & the film are both really good with a depressing ending. The better is to watch the film first & to read the book then.

  • The television series was also phenomenal.

  • Why film first?

  • If i read a book before seeing the movie, i m always expecting for more watching it.

  • Walken does maybe his best performance in this great little movie, in which he plays the ultimate outsider. He's always looked the part, but here he underplays, and it's more effective than going over the top. The supernatural stuff is incidental anyhow; the flick is really about what might have been, and how you cope with that.

Michael Kamen wrote the beautiful score..

  • I agree. The Dead Zone is an excellent film and the score by Kamen is breathtaking! I was listening to the CD yesterday :)

  • Upload the whole movie please - Youtube say OK!

  • Awesome. Anyone that's experienced heartbreak can relate to this scene. I esp. like how Walken tries to use deep-breathing to keep from losing it in front of his student after closing the door. Who among us hasn't done that? And to think, to him, it was practically yesterday they were engaged.

This, along w/ Walken in "At Close Range" remain two of my all-time fave movies, and i try and turn my friends on to them @ any chance (they usu roll their eyes when they see they're 80s flicks...lol).

  • Some of the best films came out in the 80's, unlike most of the steaming turd's being pumped out of H-wood. I am proud to have been part of that era.

  • Steaming turd's... That my friend was the most amusing Proof I have ever read!

  • the book is amazing! i bet the movie is going to be terrible.

  • No, the movie is awesome. One of the best of the 80's. And Walken gives one of his better performances. And Martin Sheen gives his best performance.

  • ok. how well does it follow the book though? that's all i'm really concerned with.

  • I couldn't tell you, as I've never read it. But it's a damn fine flick, even if it's not faithful to the book.

  • fair enough. read the book thought, it's amazing. i really loved it.

  • Actually it's not bad at all...

  • have you read the book??

  • Such sadness when Sarah greets him with that beautiful smile.

  • your right it does sound dubbed

  • What're you taking about?

  • eh?

  • Did they dub that kid's voice?!

  • can someone post the music up, its damm hard to get hold off

  • So what happens with the kid?

  • you really felt sad for walken.

  • "What's the matter?"

"... the ICE... is gonna BREAK!"

  • This pretty much happened to me. You never forget it.

  • Yeah that would really mess you up, everything you knew and loved is gone, for the most part, anyway. The way Walken played his part was amazing

  • the music makes this music. This is such a tragic event for him in this scene

  • very emotional acting with the music, both complement each other very well...this is one of my favorite movies of all time

  • So sad.

  • So he could see in the future by touching some one?

  • That's not how I imagined his student. =[

  • No, in the book it's a high school guy...the student's a lot older

  • Yeah, in the novel the kid was like 16 and not wanting to study. Johnny sees a vision of a fire at a place where the seniors go to party after graduation.

  • Very sad movie with a scenario which could happen to anyone. Not the psychic scenario of course, but being in a coma for years and coming out of it to see your love having moved on :/

  • I agree, it happen to me. I returned from the military eight years ago and saw pictures of my ex-girlfriend's wedding. She had her arms around a new love. All this happen within two years span after she broke off the relationship. I felt my life was on hold, while everyone's just went on.

  • shit that sux...and I know what you mean....

  • aw man- sorry.

the people who fight for our freedom are so easily forgotten and trodden upon. your act of sacrifice is noble and honorable- at the same time tragic. I'm not usually a sap for veterans but that just kills me.

    keep on keeping on man.

  • A beautiful scene from an amazing movie. Thanks for posting this.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I loved this movie and the book. Thanks again.
