  • When i feel stressed out or sad i listen to this kinda songs and then i feel better even tho this songs can express a lot of feelings whenever your sad , melancholic , bored , heart-broken , happy , stressed it can means a lot.

  • Hammock seem to have nice tracks, but the pretentiousness of their YouTube fan base puts me off getting into them.

  • this song has kinda the same flow as the final fantasy x song ''wandering''

  • Real music.

  • Post rock is the meaning of life

  • You cant listen to this music with your ears. you absolutely have to use your heart or you wont be able to feel what the other 81,000 people have felt

  • Beautiful :-)

  • I am alive when listening to this

  • This sound is just as consuming as silence.

  • Some time ago, I heard another version of this song on Youtube. It was just slightly different and with the same chords, no drums. I have been searching for that song a long time, but I just can't find it for my life. If anyone knows a very similar song to this, feel free to post a reply to my comment. Thanks...

  • @jmartis2

Was it by the same artist?..may be this:

    v=yPKKW5O_2E0

  • @7SeshPerAnkh7 Thanks for the reply, unfortunately that's not the song I'm searching for... I think it was a different artist, but the same melody.

  • @jmartis2 maybe it was the song "An Empty Field" by Hammock....sounds kinda similar with the same chords

  • @jmartis2 or maybe some Sigur Rós ?

  • @jmartis2 Try, "Losing you to you." By Hammock

  • @jmartis2 ... I think I found the sound you're for ... It's - "Losing You to You" by Hammock ... hope this helps :)

  • This song remind me about my good friend's death.

He was a good man, and so kind!

we used to run around trees in my dads garden.

    RIP O.B.L! <3

  • this song can mean a million words to me, or everyone on here. the importance of it is that it can do this to us, music can bring us down to the raw, or purity's of life, its just finding where you are, and breathing comfortably there, everyone has their own shade of light this song makes them see, at the end of their own tunnel of perspective.

  • I don't think about death when I hear this, instead I think about everything amazing. Like, that first kiss with the one who matters, that moment when you know you're in love, or those times you just would give for the entire world. Those moments are the ones I'm reliving. <3

  • Hammock has changed me in ways I never thought possible. Unbelievable...Just wish I could find someone with the same feelings as I have with this kind of music.

  • I met a very special girl.. I fell in love. Intense warmth. Kissing her lips was breathtaking. Hammock was on repeat that evening. I couldn't ask for more! Thank you Hammock. This music opens my heart and soul.

  • @7seshperankh7 which instrument is making that sound?

  • @MsPedross guitar ;) or rather multiple guitars

  • FUCK ARGUMENTS, I LOVE MUSIC!!!

  • Don't stop now, this is epic music country.

  • i love these songs but i wish people would stop putting there sad stories on here

memories and stuff is cool but death is too far

  • @ExistMusik People cant help what memories arise when listening to music. It is what makes music special and why we listen to it. Helps Pete's ^^ memory live on too.

  • @totallybossxb No they cant but if there fucking depressing keep them to yourself don't go round telling everyone.

  • It would appear that you are one of the only ones to have this opinion being as the highest rated comment on this video is about someone's death.

  • @totallybossxb so.... it means im the only one that aint an attention seeking sado :)

oh fuck it i might as well join in .... my pet hampster died when i was 7 waaahhh feel sorry for me and like this !

people die every day put a plack on a park bench if you want to... still no one gives a fuck.

  • @ExistMusik no gives a fuck? look at the highest rated comment for god's sake. people give a fuck.

  • @totallybossxb if you looked at everyone that has commented on this video they would all be dressed in black man ... all i was saying is its fucking depressing other people talking about there deaths ... and highest rating ?? look at the "highest rated" music now days .... justin bieber ???? ratings aint shit

  • @ExistMusik

alright..can you stop the nonsense arguing now and let others talk about how this song makes them feel...if it reminds them of death then so be it...who's to say it's too far?..you..well that's just your opinion..if these comments bother you so much then just don't read them..would be much easier instead of trying to tell people on the internet what to type and what not type and then argue about it endlessly...seriously i can't stand these nonsense self centered youtube arguments

  • @7SeshPerAnkh7 im not the one that started to argue. if they want to talk about there sad little sob stories they can go and see a shrink .. thats what there for to listen to your bullshit.

  • @7SeshPerAnkh7 Well said my brother.

  • @7SeshPerAnkh7 well said

  • @7SeshPerAnkh7 Not to sound like a thirteen-year-old faggot, but I love death

  • @ExistMusik righttt duh fuck man this music is meant to help you move on, relax, take it at your own pace, but know you cant change whats already happened, and dont blame anyone for it nor yourself, It's life.and Life's a bitch but with benefits ;)

  • @ExistMusik I think people remembering this stuff is kinda nice, because it means this music make us feel something.. make us go back in time, make us feel sad, still, pacific, etc..

i think emotions are important, they're art.... art in music.

    :) Just opinion.

  • wow. just....wow.

  • This makes me think of so much....my mother I lost when I was young, my grandmother who raised me but I lost to the big C recently, my first love, my future away from home next year, my friends I have and friends I've lost... so many memories, good and bad...stunning piece.

  • i feel like my heart is bursting with life.

  • Just damn.

  • moving.

  • i miss my dog :(

  • i've been having some frustrating and stressfull days. i'm so happy i found hammock :)

  • it's amazing what this music can do to you.

  • That's Ironic Comumbo749 because I thought of the exact same thing before I even read your comment. (: This music is very amazing. Outstanding.

  • This makes me think of all the bad memories, and how much they could be gone. I don't know how to describe it. I'm sad, but happy. I'm teary eyed, pissed, and joyful. I feel like there is a reason. A reason for all the ups and downs, and when the song ended, I came back down..

  • One, Who disliked was unconscious by the beauty of music

  • i dont understand how subtle ambience is disliked. its the sounds of life in abundance, instead of loud, crashing sounds that we constantly create. take in the moment.

  • music like this wants you to have your own imax theatre (3d) and have this music playing in the backround....and make the imax picture look like your hoviring over the ocean(like somewhat on a plane) and the sun is bright ut yet dim and its just like a really beautiful day out.........i dont know thats what i think when i hear music like this...but then again i have a lot of thoughts that run through my hed when i listen to music like this....like a lot of love, emotions and stuff.

  • Throw in Emma Hewitt for some vocals and i would cry..literally

  • ive never gotten chills so bad listening to a song. but this, i could cry. and i don't know why, but just letting out all my pent up emotions, and just.. cry.

  • yep i agree, the greyness of the picture suggests sorrow but in my mind its a path yet to be crossed that i picture.

  • This song is haunting. It's amazing how a song without words can be so sad, but at the same time somehow hopeful. I love this! <3 Thank you so much for uploading. :D :)

  • Beautiful

  • Most of you say this reminds you of old flames, or something sad.

This reminds me of cold rainy nights, a new beginning.

    It's very soothing.

  • @tnglo I was gonna say something like that...but you captured it well..its more a song of hope than a song of sorrow...you know..?

  • Why am I so happy, yet so sad at the same time?

  • @superman8013 Because you know.

  • @superman8013 Because you're a woman?

  • /watch?v=s5Cv-RIaPYU here for an awesome song featuring hammock obviously you have to put the triple w's and youtube before the rest.... or just go to my channel

  • nice I just discovered Hammock as I write this....listened to a view tracks like it very much allthough it makes me feel kinda sad and melancholic!

  • This sounds like techno slowed down 800 times.

  • you guys are weird....

  • kinda reminds me of "coming back to life" from pink floyd. (just the basic melody)

  • It's a bit strange. I was in a not very good mood before I watched this clip. Now I feel much better. So pure and ambient. Good song!

  • goosebumps all over my body! what a masterpiece!

  • I love this song. Best Hammock song ever.

  • this song is sooooooooo amazing!

  • i always think of whale rider when i listen to this...

  • Its strange, but when I was sad, depressed and playing with the idea of dying this song somehow brought life back into me.

  • this reminds me of the ocean... whales... whale rider maybe?

  • This song gives me so much peace.....and hope. Thanks 4 uploading it mate :)

  • This song actually reminds me of my friend Pete John Cannell, who died in the early hours of the morning on Sunday 29th October 2006 at the tender age of 21. R.I.P my friend, you are gone, but never forgotten.

    Born: 26th Januaey 1985

  • @Columbo794 was he shot for telling people his life story when no one wanted to hear it?

  • @MrJuz10 Was he shot? No! He wasn't shot, he died of alcoholic poisoning.

  • @Columbo794 oh weak, figured he would be able to handle his drink at the age of 21 ay

  • @MrJuz10 Not when you're a full blown alcoholic my friend, no!

  • @Columbo794 Passed on my birthday.. :(

  • @bradwjensen I miss him dearly, it'll be exactly 4 years ago a week today since he died.

  • @Columbo794 much respect man

  • @Columbo794 My condolences, as I've lost a friend myself through drunk driving. Keep your chin up and keep on truckin'.

  • I read about kenotic and its something abaout jesus...but anyways I love this music

  • Everybody should look up the word kenotic. That is what this music is about.

  • @dandadrummerman i agree, it is self emptying. however, i prefer to take the religious aspect out of it.

  • It means emptiness.

  • Undoubtedly one of the best tracks I have ever heard. A prime example on how music can truly touch one deep inside and sprout emotions as powerful as lust, love, joy, sadness and despair. I am trying to keep the tears from falling.

  • So touching

  • the message- love. calm be. quiet be. love be.

    sense.

  • My view made it to 3,333 views. Awesome. Also, as a philosophy major, when I've got hours of reading to do I listen to Hammock. Totally increases my concentration level. :-)
