Out of the countless 216, SOC, mushroomhead and unified shows that ive spent up against the stage this was definitaly the most memorable next to a couple 216 shows at the old voodoo in akron. Everything Craig and Jason have done together or separately is amazing. You guys rule.
Convictions lives as a staple to bitter, deprived CLE hardcore kids that have grown up to be bitter, deprived CLE adults. Every time I listen to this song I get bumrushed with a sense of enthusiasm and longing for the days when just getting into a show was cool enough to sustain an energy buzz all night. This song came out right before scenesters began to claim shows as social networking platforms and before causes and beliefs began to overshadow the music. Long live CLEHC!
Unified Culture started first, and Convictions is originally a Unified Culture song. Unified Culture broke up, and Jason formed State of Conviction and carried on some of the same tunes and style with SOC.
Read my description and you'll see all you need to know. Hehe. He's a local singer from Cleveland, and also works at Peabody's...the club where this show took place.
Where can I get SoC and UC's CDs?
