Is it just me that thinks this sucks, the guitar riff and melody on the recording of this song is really good, no idea why they'd wanna slow it down so much? :/
@1691christian what do you mean you 'really' did? you don't believe him? if you mean it literally, unless you have some kind of degenerative disease, no you didn't
I think I have to tell my story with Placebo too :D I'm fourteen and I discovered them about few years ago. First i thought it was shit ('cause i was into pop ja nrj -radio shit back then). Now I've listened to this again like a few months, and i'm totally in love. They are such amazing live-band, and specially slow songs are wonderful. I just love Brian♥ //I have to apologize my bad english :D
@xxSCHNEExx That is so fantastic. I know the feeling well. I get it when I listen to old post-punk fromt he 1980s. Be happy you discovered Placebo at 18 - they're a good soundtrack for the next five years of your life. Have fun!
after watching a million placebo YouTubes, seeing them live, etc. This performance, IMO, is still the standard. Totally perfect. And, so beautiful that it hurts. <3
@fascismanarchy You must be joking. This is a band that was once described as the "glam" version of Nirvana, who have consistently challenged gender roles and broken the bounderies of music genre. What do you want them to do, put socks on their dicks like RHCP?
@fascismanarchy Clearly you don't know much about them ..do you? just for your information there are witnesses who say that Brian between 1995-2000 used to spend weekly more than 200 bucks on drugs. He himstelf admits to have done almost all of them(except for heroine). so it's kinda funny when you claim they are "nice and clean" keeping in mind there is bunch of videos where you can see Brian being junked up or/and drunk as newt...
@agata521 So what? I'm a bit of a druggie myself and I have done all drugs except for heroine or meth (of course) Drugs don't make you a rebelious rockstar...I'm talking about their performances..They lack showmanship and stage antics.
@MessOfCurlyHair i dont think mcr suck i like them. my fave is i dont love you but my best band is PLACEBOOOO til i die. at my funeral i will have placebo blasting out ;p
Multumesc frumos.
there are 9 dislikes? WTF? who can NOT like this!?! Brian is so fucking gorgeous. this version of the song is gorgeous. the lyrics are gorgeous. it's like a festival of beauty.
his best haircut, is it just me or does he look like a 'brunette' version of leonardo dicaprio when he was in his romeo + juliet era here? except obviously more beautiful... but with similarity.
I'm 18, discovered Placebo just a few weeks ago and I don't even listen to anything else anymore... Everytime I listen to their old songs I can't stand the fact that there are so many of their amazing concerts I've missed (coz they're not like this anymore). I should have been born way earlier than I was, that's the feeling I get hah.. Anyways I'm happy that at least I can still buy their albums and enjoy the music that means much to me! Thank You for sharing the video Catria :)
@xxSCHNEExx I was around 23 when I first heard them. Great bands are just great. And it is weird not to see them in their prime, or even alive.. Yet, they still do that thing to you, and your atmosphere. And that is something to be thankful for. Now keep an eye out for new stuff.!
@ojoroto Agreed. I have all of their albums except the new one, their new stuff just doesn't express what Placebo is all about, just an opinion here. But i'm glad i discovered them at all!
@xxSCHNEExx Don't worry friend, every serious music fan, whatever age, feels the same at some point. There's always gonna be bands/artists you wished you seen before they broke up ('cos no-one thought they would so soon and that they had plenty of time to see them), and you'll never own every song you wish you could! It's a hard and tough thing to accept but an unfortunate reality. Unless you or your parents are millionaires, maybe a chance then, as long as you can remember all you want??? ;-)
@Banksy100 Of course it's impossible. At least I have all of their albums (apart from the newest one- just can't stand it) so I'm cool :) I thought that by going to their concert i could get closer to Brian, a personality that inspires me so much. But i realized that I don't even have to see him because his lyrics are the essence of him, that there's no other way you can get to know him better. Therefore I'm glad I have access to their music at all!
its just un explainable how it hurts to look at him or to hear his voice or to read his lyrics, it's so painful, but you can't stop doing it. its like a drug
@maya282 I understand you perfectly. I am spending my nights looking at him, listening to him, writing poetry about him, and I am wondering when it is going to stop. I think I would give twenty years of my life just to spend twenty minutes with him.
@malade71 Dont you know the persona an artist portrays in public and in their art is nothing like the person inside thats why ppl say never meet your heros.
@AgothInnCloth You are right, in general, but I think what he expresses is his true self and inner feelings, and that is why he can reach and affect so many people so deeply. I am an artist myself and succeeded in touching other people (not so many, unfortunately) only when I looked inside me and brought everything (even the "dirt") out. I would like to talk to him about art and life and thank him for everything and, yes, also look at him. Just twenty minutes. :-)
He may just be the most beautieful creature I've ever seen, so heartbreakingly human.. He seems both pure and disillusioned, it's part of what makes him so stunning..
This is one of the few videos that actually makes me cry. No joke. Between 1:35 and 1:46 I was crying my heart out. If I had not discovered this amazing life changing band, and it's beautiful members I would be hopelessly lost.
I'm not a person going for people's looks, but Brian... right here... his looks with his voice, wih the piano with the drums... It's insane. Brings me tot ears, it's perfection. Beyond perfection even
does brian still smoke? i havn't seen him in any recent vids, i think this versions awesome and better, but i don't thiknk it'd work on the album as well a bit slow
It's so much better than the album version. Mr Molko is a true god!!
I don't know anyone who is such a genius like him and who can put so much feelings in one song! And no, it's not only Teenage Angst but also all the other songs by them!
when I hear Brian singing "since I was born I started to decay, now nothing ever goes my way..." I see him like he really does believe in that...it's so emotional, so beautiful...
Oh my Godness ..when I listen to this it's like all my life and my feelings..my all and everything I want are with me..are in this song..Placebo is perfection !
I just noticed the security guy giving water to the kids in the front row at 2:19. Kind of makes me sad. This music is fantastic enough without needing to get e-dehydrated to enjoy it.
Yeah, maybe I got it wrong. Just looked like maybe amphetamine thirst. Since leaving my own drug-soaked younger years behind I feel like saying "Don't go there." Kind of hard to explain. Anyway, it's great to see security helping them like that. It's human and touching.
No no, it has nothing to do with drugs... it's the heat and especially at a Placebo concert, the kids are crazy ... everyone is squashed and I risked dehydration, ribs broken and suffocation a few times ;) It's fucking survival of the fittest. Once people were dropping like crazy, security had to take out at least 20 people fainting cause of the heat. something was wrong with that venue ....
i was a diehard fan for the first 2 albums, and got more and more dissapointed with each album after that... so sad... they had so much potential to be one of the best rock bands of at least 2 decades.. now theyre just mediocre :(
It causes me shivers in my spine...

This version of the song is great. I love it even more than the original one.
Although, it did crossed my mind it's a bit strange that a song about teenagers angst is slow rhythm.

i was a diehard fan for the first 2 albums, and got more and more dissapointed with each album after that... so sad... they had so much potential to be one of the best rock bands of at least 2 decades.. now theyre just mediocre :(
