However, I keep saying that Epica's songs are easier and easier to sing ^^ ... 'must be because she has turned now to soprano, being myself a soprano. Her improvment is great, if we compare to the previous album, indeed. But still, Simone's parts are easy to sing :) (and I am glad they are, it is practical to sing along! ). Love it though.

Simone shakes her jaw when she does the "operatic" part I've heard it's bad, I've being in a singer's forum on internet and they told me Simone isn't a good singer technically

A lot of singers shake their jaw to produce Vibrato. its usually completely intentional

According to some classical singing teachers I've seen talking about this issue their opinion is that shaking the jaw to produce vibrato means bad vocal technique

Ex: Charlotte used to shake her jaw everytime while she was a little girl this thing allied with bad technique ruined her not so beautiful classical voice

I hope Simone is taking classical singing lessons with a good teacher

I wasn't suggesting that the shaking of the jaw to produce vibrato is a good technique, but I didn't know it was necessarily a bad one either. I know there are other ways with which vibrato can be produced, but perhaps Simone thinks its easier to shake her jaw, many people do.

There's only two ways to produce a vibrato. One way is by working your vocal chords properly, as it's a natural treat. But if you put too much pressure on them, the natural vibrato fades.

You can especially notice this in Musical singers. Because they need more volume. Which is also why a lot of Musical singers have a "fake" vibrato ^^
