there are many great post-rock bands like Mono, Mogwai, Caspian, EITS, GIAA, GYBE!, If these trees could speak, this will destroy you, the calm blue sea, yndi halda, russian circles, l'aurore (a new mexican post-rock band, which really worth), etc. But I think that Sigur Rós has a very unique style. you can easily recognize them, I don't know if they're the best, but they're so f%cking great

@ThanatosSagenev It is true that Sigur Ros has a unique style but I disagree on the part that they are "the best". Every post rock band has each of their own unique style and yes, you could recognize Sigur Ros easily by Jonsi voice (no shit).

I think you should give massive credits to bands like Mogwai and Godspeed You! Black Emperor for paving the post rock path for bands like sigur ros. and others you mentioned earlier.

They make my emotions rise like a new sun.The fluctuations in sound and melody as well as voice patterns from the talented lead singer,well, are just simply divine and heavenly.
