I have the same thing with accents. Although I live in the Netherlands I'm not Dutch (Mexican/British) When I'm with my parents in the states I have a neutral accent. When I speak to people who's first language is Spanish My Spanish is very fluent. Now when I need to say something in English to someone who is Dutch my accent changes to the ugly one. (slightly, but still) Can't help it much since I've been living here for quite some time now. It sucks :)
