I'm still trying to figure out how to animate in DAZ studio. I just got the program this year, I've gotten importing, posing, morphing, and rendering down, but I still can't figure out how to animate a render... Any help/ advice that you could offer would be great!
@ozzykitten666 I've moved on to carrara, but do you see that time line on the bottom of the main screen, move the time arrow to the right and then position your model to a new position then if it doesn't happen automatically hit the key icon. that sets a "keyframe" at that new point in time, the 0 frame will always be a keyframe and it will animate from the 0 keyframe to your next keyframe
Is this what you were asking. I can put up an example
@IslePrince Ah! Thank you! I tinkered around with some of the premade animations and I figured out how to render it as an animation. Thank you for your help!

I don't think daz studio has a modeler, i use hexagon which is also sold by daz. I'm also a fan of blender but since I am just a hobbyist, I use primarily daz family products cause I need all the pre made content I can buy.
you can model in sketchup export it as a kmz file rename file extension zip extract to get a collada dae file just turn up the opacity on the meshes using surfaces tab after importing it as it will be invisible I can't use hexegon with my crap pc this works for me, google sketchup is a noob friendly app which I am but I'm sure the pros can also benefit as it is after all FREE! I use it for simple sets in daz3d.
buy Carrara 3, but only once your very good because Carrara isnt easy. no exeggeration: PRO'S ONLY when it comes to metalball modeling and vertex changes in Carrara. i was given Carrara 3 from a friend =D
@Casualmisfit well daz studio can only fine tune (grouping, bone structure, magnet) but to model you will need other softwares like maya, max or carrara which has a plugin for daz import so you can customize Daz model. as per IslePrince suggested blender is also a powerful tool for an open source software.

@EdeathD Well... considering that the video's title was named "Drunk Vicki", and it showed a girl staggering while she was walking, then you tell me.

indeed, Blender3D with now version 2.46 and the many free tutorials and models available you'll be able to start experimenting modelling for free.

i use zbrush for high resolution modeling, as well.
