I don't think I'll review all of them, on account of having only seen the Dollars trilogy and both "Once Upon a Time" films that he made. But I'll certainly take a look at some of those if you like.
this movie is what the wiled bunch was to peckipah . the sevenSamurai was to kurswa . what i mean by that is you you say any of those directors name those movies pops into peoples heads
I'm thinking of making a top 20 Favourites list in the future, but still uncertain. I'm gonna keep my options open and save it all til I make that video.
great review!! I agree with everything you sayd!! the most brilliant movie I ever seen. I watched many other movies but this one really cought my soul. cheers mate
You can hear Ennio Morricone's music go from melodic lines in 'A Fistful of Dollars' to short motivic fragments in 'GB&U'. Sergio probably knew that the visuals and soundtrack were so good, he could stretch out his narrative to breaking point and have no detrimental impact on the movie.
Though to be fair, the story is pretty interesting thanks to the wonderful performances by the three main leads and the various actors.
The movie is filled with stand-alone scenes that would have worked on their own, even without the rest of the film. And when you combine them all together, they work even better.
