Netflix Streaming Movies: There seems to be a problem!

i have an issue with my 360 slim, iv had it for 6months and i decided to try netflix, the proble is its locking my whole system. i d/l netflix it lets me watch 1 show/movie then locks my system if i try to watch another, if i delete and re-d/l netflix i can once again watch 1 show/movie then locks up if i try for more. and when i say locks up i mean nothing works unless i shut off the 360 and restart it. so i get no dashboard or any other function till i shut off and restart the xbox.

im quite offended, considering i can search up a movie or tv show ie; family guy, 10 000 BC, the simpsons, south park and i am not alowwed to watch it because i am canadian? all my american friends are alowwed to watch these titles freely, and i am not ? this service blows, canadians also dont get an instant queue i think i may unsubscribe to their services

well i uzed to only get three barz and it would go from that to hd and sqitch back and it would really bother me....i juzt wanna see moviez and show at full barz on hd...i juzt tezted netflix with optimum and it workz perfectly......for anyone outthere who haz shitty verizon or anything like that i suggezt swith to fios or juzt get optinum online......it runz 15 mbps.....you can check on speedtest how fast your internet is...if it'z under 10 then you need something better

Vigilante They Do Throttle The Shit Heads, I Watch My Movies The Same Day I Get Them And Send Them Out Right After Watching Them, The Next Day I See On The Netflix Website That They Recieved My Movies Back And That i Should Have Them By Next Day But I Get Them Three Days Later That Really Pissed Me Off When They Started Doing That, I Want To Have A Faster Turn Around On DVD Queues And More Titles On Instant Queue. Ok I Have An Xbox 360 Elite ...!!! There Are A Few Things I Would Like To Say The Xbox Seems To Have Issues Once In Awhile But I Also Have PS3, And Wii, They Both Work Flawless Anytime Of The Day Every Day. I Think It Is A Combo Of The Xbox 360 And Netflix That Is Creating These Issues.!! Try The Wii It Never Failed Me I Have Watched It For 6 Months No Slow Connection Or Anything. It Is Blazing, I Feel Liek The Xbox Is More Like A CPU Could Be The Underlining Prob, Soon They Will Wok The Glitchs

@rubbermonkey76 Are you connecting the Xbox to the internet via a wireless connection? I switched out my wireless connection with a hard wire and the consistency got much better (still hard to get HD, but 4 bars almost all the time now).

i have 30megabit speed  now stupid netflix gives me the slow intenet message . also xbox is brand new . netflis also crashes xbox half the time while attempting to connect

@YTRulas You're having an issue with your internet service,because i'm using 1.5 mbps download and 300kbps upload speed,and i have 4 bars most times,sometimes it moves to 3 bars.If you have 30mbps then there is a conflict in your internet setup.Maybe you should use the ethernet cord on your xbox 360,don't use wireless adapter. Also make sure your wifi is protected. Go to pingtest dot net and test your connection too.

Your right on everything. Last 2 days iv been getting 1,2,3,4,& HD. Before it was always 4,& HD. Now frm 12am-6am it works great 4,HD. during the day its 1,2,3 bars. & yeah I have some old movies on my list & they all say short wait. I got 6 months free cuz of this problem after that Im getting rid of netflix. RED BOX for me from now on.

I use a Vizio Blu-ray player with Netflix built in using the built in wireless adapter and I rarely have any buffer issues. Of course there are going to be throttling issues during peak times, but that is usually your ISP, not Netflix. I have verizon DSL 3mb and I rarely have throttling issues. Also, if you get throttled, try going back to browser and hitting play again, it will pick back up where you left off and usually go faster again. I get my DVD's in one day ALWAYS-only had 2 broken discs.

I have the same problem. I've returned a blu-ray insignia and i'm about to return this blu-ray samsung player and just go with a ps3. Every one I know who has a ready device uses either a ps3 or roku and they have no issues. I'll try those and see if those devices are better. If not, I'm definitely on your side.

Good video, I have one problem with netflix now, I am watching a good show, then all of a sudden it stops and says your internet has slowed and we are trying to adjust it for better performance or something like that. I don't know why, because I have AT&T the highest internet speed that they offer. So whats going on with netflix. Anyway hope you could be of some help with this problem. I get the same thing and I think it is due to throttling. When you start the video there are not many "high value" customers hitting there server. Then sometime later too much bandwidth is requested and you get knocked down on the priority list to make room for other people.

Since I made this video it has gotten a bit better, but still you can't rely on it for a high quality movie.

i also had the highest speed at&t offered too but it was doing the samethin...i switched to suddenlink which is a west texas company...and it runs beautiful even runs in HD...its a 10mg

Thanks. I forgot to mention I get AT&T but have the highest speed they offer and its DSL I am on with at&t. But it seems to have been working better for now. It has not done that in a while.
