My step father has This is not the way home on CD, I remember hearing it as a 10 year old boy. Last Thursday my mother lent me the CD and I copied it to my MP3 player, I love the album, and I love this song, it's truly awesome, The Cruel Sea are awesome.

@drumdust I'm not surprised that Triple J played this in 1991, of course I didn't even listen to them then. Now I fear Triple J isn't what is used to be 10 years ago. I can't remember when I last heard Triple J playing The Cruel Sea.

@Lachlant1984 i disagree triplej is just playing new wicked aussie music everyday. i do think that it is crazy that all the other commercial 94.5 type stations arent playing wicked old school aussie music like this not just fucking jimmy barnes.

The version of 4 on "The best of" is a re-recording. This version, the best, only appears on the album "This is not the way home"
