There aren't many Tiger Moths left flying. There aren't a whole lot in any condition at all. Whilst I hope this was repaired and is now flying again, I also hope that the owner didn't take any shortcuts in the repairs. Better a static model than a burned wreck and a dead pilot. I hope any true enthusiast of vintage aircraft would agree.
@2206411411 Just yesterday I watched a beautiful Moth doing circuits and bumps from a farm in Norfolk; found in a barn covered in dust and chicken guano and meticulously restored. So don't worry, these lovely things are still being found and returned to the skies where they belong!
It's disappointing that someone in your position sees fit to video and post this on the net. You're supposed to represent your organisation responsibly.
Mmm this plane was in "shlutorflyer's" video promoting his friends pleasure flight business. I guess that there isn't a waiting list!! Shame about the Moth.
This Tiger isn't going to fly again. it's been dissasembled and taken down to Nelson to be used as a source of parts for the other Tiger. Anyone seeing a Tiger flying at point cook is watchingVH- LJM. This was VH-BEN.
I work at NAC, and the plane is being rebuilt. The wings had shakes in almost all of the spas bar two, so an entire new set will be required. The fuselage is still in relatively straight shape and will undergo proper testing before the rebuild. Expect to see this fly again in a couple of years down the track :D And you are correct, LJM will be the one you would see.

The engine is pushed right up against the gas tank. He's lucky the tank didn't rupture
