  • new steps to learn to this n only 4 weeks to learn 'em !! hup hup

  • love love love

    bliss bliss bliss

  • so good. baet band ever

  • I WAS THERE! the seattle one

  • Lunasa is aboslutely stunning to watch play! I always get frustrated when I can't learn a piece easily by ear. And i so badly want to learn this piece on my ocarina, but I doubt I can ever truly emulate the way a tin whistle is played. Especially of Lunasa's caliber!

Does anyone have notes for this piece?

  • Go a Google search for the tune name. Do the search in "Images" (click on the word Images on the top left where it says Web, Images, Videos, Maps. There are different versions of the tune.

  • My wife and saw Lunasa on March 21st at Central Michigan University. They were incredible! They are all excellent musicians and put on a wonderful show. Go see them if you can and youll be hooked.

  • Sick. Absolutely sick. There are no words to express the brilliance of these musicians.

  • the best song!!!

  • Can barely hear the bagpipes in this recording, which, to me, is the best part of the song(second passing of the first tune)

  • Uileann pipes not bag pipes

  • that the drones' backsound at the biginning that makes the difference along with the guitar.

    It's really a masterpiece.

  • this song makes me really happy. *sigh* I love these guys so much

  • i saw these the other night at the towersey festival

first time id ever heard them and they had me mesmerized. i wouldnt leave the concert i made my mates stay with me til past 11:30 lol

    theyre really amazing guys

  • I always heard the tune called "Good morning to your Nightcap", which gives me a chuckle.

  • they came to my school and played.

    it was great.

  • I just discovered them !

    similar to flook ...

  • better than flook

  • Very different to Flook but equally good in my opinion :)

  • I saw them last night in London and they were absolutely fantastic. Five exceptional musicians on top of their game....

  • I love this tune

  • capercaillie did record this tune in "sidewalk",

i remember they all had funny german style haircut (long hair in the neck)...

Thanks God Lunasa still look like average guys!!

  • Omfg Best Ever..! Ive Seen Lunasa In Concert So Many Times But I Will Never Stop Loving Them!! Woop Woop..!

  • Different class

  • anybody knows what is the name of the first part of this song?

  • its a scottish tune which name i don't know.

you can also listen to this part in capercaillie's album "sidewalk" ..

  • Thanks!!!

  • The first tune of this set is called "Wedding Reel"

  • Thanks! I discovered it 2 weeks ago in their songs book!

  • Its also called McLeod's farewell

  • you mean mac Leod ! the guy how try to get his head NOT cut off in "Higlanders"???

  • im very very sorry... may god forgive me -.-

  • of course we're talking about that highlander. Miss McLeod's is about his daughter, and Highlander Watches Farewell to Ireland is also about that guy, THE Highlander is firmly rooted in the traditional music. i think fifilafrance is the one who needs god's guidance ;), so in conclusion, no no pop culture in this tradition

  • MacLeod's Farewell is the correct name for the tune composed by Donald Shaw.

  • does anyone know if the notes to this are posted anywhere?

  • Now THAT is music... Love these guys =D

  • yes yes yes ! it's good to realize what strucked me first " ooooh God i've heard this a long time ago "!!!

    Capercaillie! Of course !!! "Sidewalks"

    Lunasa iz ze best !!!

  • does anyone know if there's a video of them playing Inion Ni Scannlain? i love that song

  • i love this - its stirs my heart to look at the better things of life.

  • Donald Shaw and Charlie McKerron play the original version written by Donald Shaw and they play it the best way as Capercaillie only can.

  • To listen to this tune really opens the heart!

  • The first tune is MacLeod's Farewell by Donald Shaw (Lunasa screwed up tributing this tune to it's rightful composer on the Merry Sisters of Fate album!). The last tune is indeed the Malbay Shuffle by Diarmaid Moynihan

  • That's right. I went to a Lunasa concert two months back and they told the audience. I hope Capercaille's cool with it!!

  • For the titles of the tunes.

    1: The wedding

    2: Morning Nightcap

    3: The Malbay Shuffle

All from the set "Morning Nightcap"

  • son buenísimos

  • does anybody knows when are they comming to Spain again¿?

  • En Agosto van a tocar en Asturias y en Cantabria. Visita su página y en la pestaña dedicada a su Gira Mundial tendrás más información.

  • muchas gracias por responder .ha sido de gran ayuda

  • The first one is called 'The wedding reel' Tune not song.

  • this is def mornin nightcap. its a tune not a song!

  • Who cares what it's called, that fact of the matter is that it's bloody brilliant!!

  • BEST SONG EVER

  • Shivers down my spine.

  • yes it is Morning Nightcap. But this tune is made of others minors tunes.

  • I'm pretty sure this is NOT Morning Nightcap that they are playing.

  • best song ever

  • Yo pude disfrutar en directo de su actuación hace unos años y me hizo vibrar. ¡Bien por Lúnasa!

  • i love this song!!!

  • Good song. I love it!
