@MrJoyboy57 Those were made by a fellow member of the dutch Motor-Forum. This was a while back so I have no idea who. You can search there and see is anyone can help you. I've sold the VFR so I have no connections here.
@adroitredtiger just remove the complete exhaust system up to the cat. I didn't have the guts to ride it with no exhaust but I met a fellow VFR rider who did. Awesome!
@aminevich I dont believe its harmful. I believe backpressure is a 2 stroke problem.
Back pressure of a four-stroke engine is termed as a "bad thing" for performance; however, it is used to reduce exhaust sound. In a two-stroke engine, exhaust backpressure is needed to prevent unburned fuel/air mixture from passing right through the cylinders into the exhaust
Besides that I never drove long runs. I just removed the silencers d. winter cleaning and made a short sound clip
@tazz74NL very thoughtful answer. THANKS! Another concern one might have is (as was portraid in South Park) you can be considered a Harley Fag for making too much noise. If you haven't seen that episode, Youtube it and laugh your ass off!
@aminevich the engine will function with no exhaust at all, but you're on the right track with the back pressure, as w/o a proper exhaust, the lack of backpressure can cause issues with the exhaust valves of an engine, causing problems later on down the line.
@aminevich I don't believe it's harmful in any way, but you'll probably lose power through part of the rev range. I doubt there is any appreciable difference, but since this is all conjecture you'll have to take it with a grain of salt
It was extremely loud, the video doesn't do it justice. It hurt my ears and the neighbors weren't too happy with it. The smoke is because it was winter time so it's cold.
Why was there blue smoke?

GP what?! thats not a GP exhaust, you just took the midpipes and mufflers off. sure, it sounds great, but at least call it what it is, dude
chris71mach1 6 months ago
@chris71mach1 I didn't say I had a MotoGP exhaust, so at least learn how to read, dude.
tazz74NL 6 months ago
@chris71mach1 do you not need the back-pressure of an exhaust for the engine to function correctly?

I wish I could appreciate noise as you do. Could never figure out how louder was better.

don't you lose back pressure? Is this not harmful to the engine?

@jurrien75 The cans on the 6th Gen VFR are butt ugly in my opinion.
