@BaseyCasey: Thank you for your comment! I never used any kind of effects and only recently got seriously interested in that stuff. Actually, I bought an MXR Bass Compressor two weeks ago and I'm getting used to it (so far I like what I hear), but at the time I recorded this video I didn't use any kind of effects. The only processing to the audio track is one normalization pass made with Adobe Audition.

@XXxxretrogamerxxXX If you want to become good at bass, get a bass and get good. If you want to be good at guitar, keep going with guitar and get good at that. Or you can do both. Many of the skills are transferable, but keep in mind that if you learn guitar first then you'll pick up a bass and start playing it like a guitar. And there are many people that play bass like it's a rhythm guitar and make it sound awesome (Nick Oliveri), but there are people who think bass should have it's own style

@katsurencho i tell you why ... because it's a 5-string bass guitar! ;) ... and they are very common, it's nothing special! because todays amplifications are able to produce low level notes, a low B-string has been added to this bass guitar!

you can also check out basses like the "dark lord" which even has a low F# string ... or else there are basses with a high C as well (in 5 or ever 6 string version)

check out the super mario theme on 11 string bass, too ;)
