  • WOW! Nice rebuilt F40PH locomotives! They actually have F45/FP45 hoods! But why are they painted with the D&RGW logo?

  • They look like FP45s to me.

  • Those F40M-2F's look intersting! I think the regular F40Ph looks better though!

  • Did EMD build them?

  • @tartopfan No, its a local company called AMP, located in Dansville NY.

  • Where did the SLRG units come from? Selkirk?

  • @Alek9997 Dansville

  • Looks to me like you definitely did your fair share of trespassing. (Considering the angles you have on the SLRG units at Rochester Yard and standing between the tracks.) I hate to be the fly in the ointment but something needs to be said. This is not the first time you have done this, and it may not be the last. Do us a favor; quit doing it because one of these days it will catch up with you; the rest of you railfans won't be able to enjoy this as much you obviously have.

  • @Lutherkb Yes I know and wont deny it I was trespassing in this video (Although I did NOT see any tresspassing signs were I was standing, but I do take special care in not tresspassing, in a lot of my videos it looks like im tresspassing but I am not, I get a lot of special premission from various RR employees (I think its the Tripod) but the big thing is I dont do it on purpose and dont do it often.

  • @coryrusch Listen, just because you don't do it often or there are no signs does not mean it is okay or acceptable behavior. Also there are numerous signs posted at this yard on telephone poles near the very location you trespassed. You should also know that if you have to cross the tracks, you are trespassing. The very act is an admission of guilt. Ignorance is not an excuse, never is, and never will be. Acquiring "special permission" does not give you the power above all to do as you please.

  • @coryrusch Furthermore, just because you believe you are not doing something on purpose does not make it anymore legal than the guy who does it with clear intent. It sounds to me like you are a young kid who's enthusiastic about his hobby. I see nothing wrong with that part but you must also abide by the law and do the right thing all the time. Personally if I ever see you trespassing on one of our lines, I will escort you off the property. Trespassing is trespassing and it is illegal.

  • @coryrusch Thank you Lutherkb, very well said. Sorry Cory but this is my home base and I don't wanna get kicked out because of too many people trespassing

  • You were in my neck of the woods for this one haha I saw those F40M-2Fs as well in the yard. Im curious as to when they left. I would have lied to have seen them out on the main line

  • @lilbenson356 Yeah, I heard about them and knew I probably wouldnt see them on the main line, so I went to them.

  • have been following your videos for a long time cory. you are the ultimate rail; fan! keep up the great catches that we all so enjoy!!!

  • Great video Cory! A friend of mine was on 281 that day, bet he saw you!

  • @CPManJoe Probably

  • Great video, Cory. Those F40's look awesome. 5*****

  • were those f40m' s painted in dansville maybe?

  • @kncwheeler Actually yes

  • How the heck do SLRG F40s wander all the way out to Rochester? That's an amazing catch.

  • @murjax They all are getting rebuilt in Dansville NY, then they come up to Rochester to be shipped west.

  • @coryrusch Oh I see. That explains why the paint job looks so new too.

  • Interesting video and nice camera work, I passed through Rochester, NY on 3/27 on our way back to Michigan after visiting my brother in RI. My first time being in NY so it was interesting to see some rail action on the same day I was there, I didn't get to see any trains though.
