To the poster of this video that was not a mistake if you followed wrestling at the time, the wrestler whos head in the rope was either fatu or samu (the headshrinkers) there big gimmick was that kicks to the head or headbutts to them didnt hurt them because there heads were stronger (samoan gift?). And in there matches they would do this spot often where they would get there heads caught in the rope and fans would gasp. Its not a fail its actually a perfectly performed spot.

actually dude is right. foley didnt lose his ear in barbed wire, he lost in with regular wcw ring ropes which were actually cables. they were too tight and when he pulled his head out he ripped his ear off. his ears were damaged from doing this over and over again. the pinky injuries occured when he did the "hangman" move like in this video with barbed wire ropes.that injury happened during a match with terry funk, he lost his ear in germany, in wcw against vader. wcw didnt use barbd wire ropes

Accident? Your all retarded... It is a special move called the hang man. It is the reason why Mick lost his ear but he was trying to get his head stuck in the ropes. He does it/ did it a lot. In Japan he did it with barbed wire. It was supposed to happen. It isn't a fail...

@HBKRichie No, I confirmed it after posting that during a show in Germany when he was with WCW, he tore part of his ear off because his head was trapped like that, but WCW was so cheap that they were using elevator cables for ropes. Recognize, also, that even ECW didn't use real barbed wire, so I doubt it would be because of that.
