Why is there white smoke coming out after he lets off the throttle? doesn't that mean a little bit of coolant is getting into the exhaust? My sti does that a little after a high rev.
i don't understand why that dude is sitting beside the car while they're doing the dyno, if something goes wrong and the car falls off or rolls, that guy is toast, i can see his leg underneath the car and for that car rolling fast, there's accident calling...

@fadedjoker1 in order for a small motor like that to pull those numbers, you have to have low compression or install methanol/water (charge cooling effect) injection. the result of lower compression is when the oil pressure exceeds the pressure of the cylinder, extra oil passes the oil ring, entering the combustion chamber. that is where the smoke is coming from. if it were the guides, it would smoke more AFTER he lets off the throttle, not while on it.
And mispace, btw just for arguments sake are you aware that Subaru made a 2.2l legacy with twin turbos stock? Granted it wasn't that great of a configuration, but that's still twins on a 4 cyl. So seriously dude, stfu.

Stocks its a EJ257 H4 Turbo charge Boxer but im guessing that motor is a 2.6L Stroker Boxer with a HUGE turbo ( GT40R) Meth, FMIC, full TBE, etc etc. That is a monster Subaru and if the Clutch can hold the power not many cars can beat it on the road

I love wrx's the best thing about them if you notice the hp is 770 and the tq was 746! In a Honda with 770whp it would be like 500tq which is going to drastically slow you down for acceleration. So that's why I drive a wrx and not a Honda lol.

well the smoke about 90% of the time is from deleting all of the catalytic converters. with a little more tuning of the air and fuel ratios the smoke should be minimal or none at all. amazing cars if you have the money to tune to that high of a hp number. my wrx is only 310hp and still fast as hell!
running rich is not a good thing. if the car runs to rich it can damage a majority of the engine internals as well as sensors if any exist. starving the motor of air is one of the worst things you can do next to not changing the oil. in order for the fuel to come in correctly you have to switch to larger injectors and a high flow fuel pump to accommodate the increase in air flow.

you dont want to run lean... running rich is not the best thing it'll cause detonation but that is very rich. cars dont mind rich that much cooler combustion temperature, lean is wat kills turbo motors. i run my 2.61 at 11.7 to 1 n 13.7 downshifts. n with a turbo or non turbo the motor is going to get its air its a air pump in theory unless u block the ports no matter how much fuel their is the same vol of air in the cylinders

Good customer/friend of mine spent about $35k with his evo, stroked, 35R, Shep tras, tuned with factory ecu and meth ect... 505AWHP. So tell me how your going to to get 700+ RELIABLE AWHP out of an evo OR an STi for under $40K. There's a shit ton more that goes into these projects than a built engine with a big turbo. Guess all you want, I've done projects like this, and if you want it done right, it's going to be twice as much as you think it will by the time your done. Period.

higher top speed? how fast does it go? and the only thing good about the bugatti is that it does better on gas mileage than most ferrari's and Lamborghini's, 8/15mpg. i was reading a motortrend magazine the other day and the new Lambo(not reventon) does 9/14mpg, another that does 7/13mpg, and a ferrari that does 8/14 mpg, and theyre all motor, no turbo or nothing. so thats the only thing its better at, plus The Shelby SSC beat the bugatti, 260mph

Good customer/friend of mine spent about $35k with his evo, stroked, 35R, Shep tras, tuned with factory ecu and meth ect... 505AWHP. So tell me how your going to to get 700+ RELIABLE AWHP out of an evo OR an STi for under $40K. There's a shit ton more that goes into these projects than a built engine with a big turbo. Guess all you want, I've done projects like this, and if you want it done right, it's going to be twice as much as you think it will by the time your done. Period.

in the USA i dont think you can get into a STI for under 30k, but you can get into a evo for under 30k.
for the most part, the evo and sti have always been very close in price..
counting the RS, you can get into an evo 8+ for much cheaper than an STI(not wrx!)
and people using Rig. racing as "faster Subi" proof, need to look up the words, "RWD", "Tubbing", "Tube" and "F6" ...they are all massively built drag cars.
