  • We all should thank GOD for creating us, the very beautiful Edelweiss flower, and love itself,, all HIS creation, this is a fact! We humans did nothing in this world, just have to sit back, look around us, see the absolute beauty that surrounds us, and cry at the humbling beauty of a simple mountain flower,,,,, please,, don't ignore HIM,,, it says that HE feels sad when we ignore HIM,, take care everyone, God bless!

  • I'll never forget Julie Andrews and the beautiful songs in the movie. This year, I sang the theme song "The Sound of Music" for my vocal class' presentatiion in Japan.

Thank you for bringing me to remembrance of the Trapp Family!!

  • i'm singing this song for an audition. it's very beautiful and one of my favorite songs.

    :)

  • Christopher Plummer is supposed to be a bit of a, well, you know what I mean, don't you? The Irish Times hinted at it on their front page earlier this year (2011). But who cares, anyway? The only way you can sell a biography nowadays is to put in as much lies and rubbish and perversion as you can. If you don't,the book won't sell!

  • A musical flipping of the bird to the Nazi occupation of Austria.

Gotta love any movie that tells the Nazis to shove it.

  • This wonderful song brings me back to my childhood when I first watch that film.

i lost a lot of my family to cancer and diabetes so i know what it's like to lose someone.

  • I love this movie and will always remember Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews in it.....I think every woman wants a man like the Captain in her life!

  • Christopher Plummer was hot

  • Molto Bello!!

  • I assumed, wrongly, that this was an actual Austrian anthem of some sort, sung for the stage show and movie. I was later stunned and very impressed to learn that Rogers and Hammerstein wrote it....better than most national anthems and a VERY patriotic song, made classic by the performance of Plummer and Andrews.

  • my mom used to sing this to me when i was little....i sing it to myself sometimes at night and i can feel her lying beside me. i miss you mom <3

  • @shaannybear1136 makes me think of my mom too - she was from Austria
