Dude. That shark might be 3 feet long, but that 3 foot whitey will take your friggin hand off if he thinks your trying to hurt it. Plus it provably weighs like 80 pounds. It would be worth a million lacerations to put such a remarkable creature back in its home to continue the species. Would you begrudge even a serious wound in order to save such a perfect creation?! that was a brand new baby great white. that's also probably why he had such a hard time. The teeth were new and all in tact, the color was dark. The man in the vid should have at least grabbed the tail to position the shark towards the water to help though I understand why they might be scared. Cool to know that area of the beach is obviously a birthing place for great whites.

Tons of medium-sized dog fish and other sharks get washed up on beaches. Chucking them back is a doddle.
