could you please tell me if when the are spawning do there bellys get fat and if so what should i do my fish looks so crazy i think its spawning but iam not sure. what happend or what i should do. HELP

my female before she was ready to lay kept shaking in front of my male firemouth i dont think he wanted to breed so she killed him lol

i have a GT tank and my male gets in front of the female and shakes his body, must be a sign of breeding
