Despite mountains of letters of protest, Jess Webber and her Liberals continued to persue their own ajendas. The Young Liberals were voted into power in 2005 for two reasons: the hid their political affiliations during the pre-election debating, and they promised free uni club membership and beer to all students if they won.

These students are elected by their campus student body and their election campaigns are endorsed and advertised as being representatives of the Liberal party. The funding for these campaigns and other things like the Ballarat conference and T-shirts either comes directly from the Young Liberal Organisation or the Liberal party itself. I attended Ballarat as NUS Delegate. Neil McCoy has dismissed these students as individuals acting in their own capacity. This is far from the truth. The video above proves it. If you look closely you will see ALL LIBERAL STUDENTS except Garath Evans wearing the same black T-shirt, including Miss Webber, these T-shirts have John Howard and an Aussie flag on the front, with Mr Howard giving the middle finger. Underneath reads HEY COMMUNIST and on the back of the shirt SHUT THE FUCK UP
