sprinkler valves with guide rods don't work like the other kind, if you understand both kinds of homemade piston valves then just think of a guide rod valve as a chamber sealing valve, and a normal sprinkler valve is like a barrel sealing valve.

however you mod them in the exact same way just figure out how to remove that annoying valve, try pulling it out with plilers or go to town with a dremel or drill if you don't have one

after that I would recommend obstructing the hole that the guide rod fitted into, don't use an airtight seal just obstruct flow, the one advantage of guide rod valves is that you can put the Schrader valve in the center on thr bottom of the gun, then you can switch between diffrent chamber without putting valves in all of them

how did the valve work and how is it semi auto? Does it always have to be hooked up to an air compressor for it to be semi auto?

you need a significant air source to produce semi auto, the only way I know to produce a semi auto with a single tank is with a hammer valve or poppet valve system analogous to paintball gun designs, and only works for small guns

anyways the way I did was by modifying a blowgun valve into a 3way (2 position valve) and using it as a pilot valve for a pilot operated valve you should check the links in the video description

well the secret is friction rather than mechanical extractors, but it will only work if the feeder has much less friction than the tip of the bolt that extracts it, and the bolt must be hardly attached to the cartridge, wiping a thin layer of epoxy on and doing some fine tuning will get it to work

and for the ejector its just a bolt screwed into the side opposite to the ejection port the cartridge "flicks" off the bolt and out the ejection port,

too bad you should get a bike shock pump, its a manual kind of pump used for pneumatic suspensions on bikes, they fit normal schraders valves and can reach up to 400psi

well thats the trouble most people have when trying to design something like this, I only did it cause I got the idea to simply uses friction to extract and eject

you can use my idea which is much much easier to do, or you can replicate the boltsniperdotcom idea, if you're using my idea and having trouble with ejection make sure the cartridge is seated no more than 3mm on the extractor and add thin layers of epoxy to increase friction you may also try lightly sharpening the edges.

if the cartridge is not extracting then loosen the sleeve in the front,

remember the trick is to have greater friction with little sleeving compared to the front where it sleeves into

there is a large chammber for very powerful shots I don't use it much its not used in the video cause I felt any dick could make a slow firing sprinkler valve pneumatic the bolt action and 3way setup is the real icing on this cake

the shot you see are mostly at low presure 20-60psi and with a small chammber intgrated into the stock
