This doesn't make sense. The sole reason Drona created Chakravyu was to capture Yudisthir, right (because Arjun is the only one who knows how to deal with it)? So, all they had to do was let the 4 Pandavs enter Chakravyu with Abhimanyu! Once trapped inside the Chakravyu (since they don't know how to exit), Drona and Karna could have easily killed or captured the four brothers.

Abhimanyu was killed by Durjaya (son of Duryodhana) in single combat. It was abhimanyu's inability to come outside from chakravyuha so Kauravas can not be blamed. It is very true that conquerers write history.

No no no no...dude you have misunderstood. Pariksheet was to be killed by ashwathama's weapon but he was protected and revived thanks to sri krishna. Due to exposure of the weapon he was born black as a burnt log. thats why he was called Parrek-Sheeth. Pariksheeth lived in kaliyuga and contributed to yet another Immortal Nectar Called Srimad BhagavataPurana. Lord is't seen as krishna or anyone else in kaliyuga. He's seen through Gita, Bhagava Purana, VishnuPuran, Vedas and Upanishads.

If single combat was the only 'legal' combat all the soldiers, rathis, artharathis, maharathis would stand in two lines and fight each other, no formations, no tactics, no strategy, no brains.

If one on one combat was the 'rule' then Abhimanyu would not have worried about the inability to come out, all he would have to do was fight one single warrior the whole day without killing him. But the fact that he worried shows that single combat was not the rule.

Actually Abhimanyu kills Duryodhan's son and due to that Duryodhan gets angry like hell and orders everybody to attack and kill Abhimanyu. That part has been bypassed here. They have shown only Duryodhan giving the order.

@xilvenkat Ashwatthama died later. His name was used later to get Dronacharya out of the war. See the later episodes. Ashwatthama stayed alive, & is believed to be alive even today, something I can't say anything about, but he was definitely not among those who died in the war.

I always felt sympathy for Karna the way he was killed by Arjun, but after what he did to Abhimanya, he deserve it. And as far as Dhruyodhan is concerned, he was the first man to break the rules of the Yudha. Dhruyodhan should be ashamed of himself that whenever he breaks the rules, then he doesn't mention, but when Pandavas break the rules, he always complains and says that they are cowards. The real coward and rule-breaker in this yudha is Dhruyodhan.

The actor's name is Mayur. Ten years before Mahabharat, young Mayur played young Amitabh Bachchan in the movie, "Muqaddar Ka Sikandar." He appeared in other films in the late 1980s. He also made an appearance in Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi (though in a villain role).
