well, sierra shut down the master servers on nov 11 2008, so nobody plays online. But there is a patch that allows you to play online

God I remember playing this back when I was a kid. I would play it on freaking 56k dial-up. I used to annihilate everything as an alien. I was a beast at this game. I've been looking around see people talk about the marines being OP, but I always thought the aliens were OP. I mean jesus christ they run at like 500 mph and can climb walls, ceilings, and jump 50 feet. I'm going to have to reinstall this game again tonight. So happy I still have it!

i remember survival on the first level you where playing on was always fun, because of the dead end and vents. I remember one time i was the first alien and my first try to kill someone in the base failed but the marines where playing so close to the door i spawned in the basement room where they all where and ended up killing them all it was classic.

ok the cloak is cool and you can't remove your mask ,there net can hold only a few seconds but the game is really cool and you do take damage with any bullet and the smart disk can return

so true. i feel bad for the humans who fight an alien. 1 alien can make short work of atleast 2-3 humans at a time and every head bite heals the alien so it can keep going. aliens r the best i think. humans r doomed to extinction on avp and preds r good at hunting anything if they have the right vision on.

In AVP2 the humans are made to camp. not move around like the pred. Pred are made to hunt while the aliens are made to move. hince the humans with radar, preds with the stealth and the aliens with speed and pharamone vision.

Humans are controlling aliens, preds and humans so it makes sense to act as your character. Preds - hunt, Aliens - stalk, Humans - fight!

I'm just going to say this and play the way I play...

Camping if in real life combat is taking cover and making use of that cover. Preds have cloak = cover. Aliens can hiude in the ceilings = cover. I'm just fighting like a human and making use of the COVER there is available. See you guys online ;)
