  • How many rollers did you use?

  • @honeyflowery Hi! Thanks for watching my video! I don't remember. Maybe 15...don't really know.

  • I like your comment on conformity. All different types of women feel pressure to conform. Looking at pop culture what do you see? Dyed hair, breast implants and other types of plastic surgery. I really appreciate you saying that women should be embrace what god gave them.

  • Sigh....this is so refreshing. You speak the truth. I love my people but sometimes I get so disheartened at the self so many of "us" have. I have the same take on it all. Do what you will to your hair (cut, straighten, color it hot pink, whatever...) just don't do it b/c you think what you have naturally is ugly or inferior in some way. You are a ray of sunshine. Please keep doing what you're doing.

  • I heard that sponge rollers eats, burns the hair. have you heard about the setin foam rollers. The setin prevents the foam touching the hair.

  • Hi Sneak...no I never heard of those. That was the first and last time I set my hair...so I'll look into these rollers if I decide to roller set my hair again. Thanks for the tip! ;0)

  • oh But it breaks super easy due to the heat so I will go natural

  • I must say you have very pretty hair. Its a great lenght and texture!! Thanks for the vid. I will be using sponge for my first roller setting. [my hair is straight] so thanksssss

  • The foam used for those rollers is very drying.

  • Hi Speer, thanks for watching...Yes your right...that's why end papers go good with them. I didn't have any at the time. ;0)

  • Amen! I had my last perm about 15 months ago. I was always told that my hair "wasn't good enough to go natural" -- I "needed a perm". Like my hair is a defect or something.

  • I was told the same thing and now my hair is more healthy than ever! It has been 10 months for me.

  • Good vid

  • This is really good education for me. Thank you!

  • You articulated it very well on the subject of natural hair. "What is the real reason why you relax your hair" - very profound!

  • I totally agree with you on the reason why Black women relax their hair, that's actually one of the reasons I wanted to go natural, plus I wanted to go back to the roots God created me with :). Looove your vidz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • Hi love thanks for watching. I take it that you don't have kinky natural hair? I'm sure if you ask anyone of the girls on here who went from relaxed to natural they will tell you that they had to edure stares and remarks.

  • no one is asking you to conform, or anyone else for that matter... very strange thing to say.

  • Hi thanks so much for your videos I did the BC like 4wks ago, so my hair is like a short ceaser.... Im looking foward to put in my natural relaxer and my hair getting longer for me to play with. Thanks again :)

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE your hair. Do you think that you could recommend any Thick leave in conditioners please, I've been looking but cant find any. Thankx

  • Thanks so much for this video!

i just bought rollers and you've REALLY helped me!

and i VERY MUCH admire you sticking up for all the African American women who don't like their hair! now i'm not African American but i don't like my natural hair so i know where you're coming from!

    Peace&love

  • Hello all. I love the video, but I do want to make a sidenote on the comments about you not seeing others confoming. White women, spanish women, indian woman, and yes even lovely african american women alter their hair for numerous reasons. What it really boils down to for all nationalities is the reason behind it. I have long wavy hair yet people always think it's texturized, but I love being me. I'm glad to see another woman who loves being she!

  • Hi barichula, your absolutely right! I was refering to the MOTIVES. White women, spanish women, indian woman and women of other ethnicity's alter their hair for many different reason, but they do not alter their hair out of hatred. I get more heat for showing my natural hair from black women, who are not comfortable with their napps. Thanks for the response. It all comes down to the REASON we do what we do. In all honesty I love my hair relaxed and natural.

  • @FreeWorshipFreeWors spanish women are of spainsh decent, which is european, which is white

please if ur talking about latina women dont call us spanish

  • I loved ur vid especially when u commented on the reason that we as black women relax our hair... and if we are so proud then why conform... I loved it... Be Blessed Queen....

  • Thanks for the encouragement Love. BTW cool name! ;0)

  • i am sorry bit i am soo soo soo jealous of the length of your hair... i can't wait for my hair to reach your length......I BC like 2 months ago..so i can't even roller set....so so so sad

  • LREN, enjoy your BC days...I kinda miss mine. When you hair gets length..it's a whole nother ball game. ;0) More work, but it comes easier as you learn to take care of it. You'll have lenght in no time! ;0)

  • thanks for watching dolton! ;o)

  • Thank you for this tutorial
