Hey man, great videos! Just one thing. I have a 1GB onboard video card and a pci-express 1GB video card. Is there anyway i'm able to use both videos cards for my fsx. Because it only shows I have one?

@TheDeltaFlight Cheers DeltaFlight, I use Sony Vegas. I've used it for years and its truly fantastic. I do this kind of thing for my job too so that also helps ;)

Its beacuse of your video card. The Bufferpools tweak is for more powerful cards. Id also get rid of Vista as its a dog.

@e0012078 first off all your specs are lacking get an ati 5770 or better and get that cpu to around 3.3 ghz before you do any tweaks

Very nice video. I am planning to assemble an I7 machine similar to yours...

But my qyestion is, I see you do not have traffic maxed out and other sliders in the display are slightly lower.... Does maxing out the traffic (ground and air) kill frame rate even with I7 along with other display settings?

@kallasnikov - Hi, the traffic is Ultimate Traffic 2, so the settings vary. too much however will lose you frames.

The other settings are just the balance that I found worked nicely. you wouldnt see too much frame loss if you maxed out..Probably the only thing would be to hold back on maxing out the water, that can cause some dropping of frames too..Post me when you have built it and show some videos off :)

@RotationFSX thanks for the feedback. I actualy remember somewhere I saw a similar setup like yours with the traffic to the max and it is mentioned that fps was actualy higfh. My goal is to have a smooth and sharp graphic with traffic in the air and on the ground... How much fps do you get if you se air and ground traffic to max in a busy international airport?

@RotationFSX I looked again at the settings in the video and I noticed more sliders are downward like autogen etc... I am surprised that you had to lower all those settings on your system... I suppose with the settings you have you get high frame rate even on a Quad Core... Your I7 setup should be able to manage max fsx settings, give it a try! :)

BTW, Whats your FPS for those settings? I've done all your tweaks and i'm getting about 20-130 FPS. I have all settings like yours.

Hey, i cant get the FPS limiter to work 100%, i used the correct fsx path, but when its finished loading ( 100% ), Fsx isnt responding, anything i might doing wrong ?

@HDsimmer700 - Hi mate, just checked your vids..really nice I'm subscrbing :)

Frame limiter - I use it like this,

1) have a folder with the FL (frame limiter) files in on my Desktop

2) create the .bat file in there using the gui - make sure it points to your FSX.exe

3) make a shortcut to the .bat file and place outside the folder and use as your FSX starter

If that doesnt work then I'm stumped as its a really easy bit of kit to use.

You could try and rebuild your config file :)
