YES. I am a scientific person, and I hate it when people think of evolution and other scientific phenomena as things to be "believed" or "not believed." Science is objective, and the scientific method works by finding problems with theories/hypotheses, not by blindly accepting them.

"God" should be a legendary being of incredible power, that some people believe exists on faith, and some do not. But lately, this "god" concept has been reduced to "that thing which created us IF AND ONLY IF evolution did not," which has become the popular, albeit stupid, perspective.

Unfortunately, most Americans have a very sophomoric understanding of what evolution is, what religion is, what the big bang is, etc. So they pick a side of what the media portrays as the debate going on, either this or that.
