  • This is the same van that did a one minute climb up the hill at Goodwood last year.

  • TDI power! :)

  • that has a jag 220 engen twin turbo

  • @fizzska It has a slightly used 1.0 litre vauxhall nova engine u fucking moron

  • @bazmataz07 lol if you think 1 liter engine sounds like that then........... It is actually a v6 twin turbo from the xj220 :)

  • Quickest white van man in the world.

  • Thumbs up if you saw this van on Top Gear

  • It doesn't look that fast!

  • somebody literally ruined one of the best cars ever - the Jaaggggggg XJ220

  • this was 2002!

  • @mayzon111222

Why make a dumb comment like that? I do know what year it was, I filmed it myself!. It was 2008 during the BTCC or did I step back in time 6 years when I walked through the gate at Donnington?

  • @DaGung joking dude joking, sry!! I was mearly coping what someone else said!

  • @mayzon111222 lol, I'll let you off then :)

  • @mayzon111222 learn how to spell. its 'merely' mate, 'merely'. and 'copying' mate 'copying'. how old are you? 4? noone can knock this van, its awesome.

  • Tis indeed a Transit with XJ220 running gear! even down to the alloy wheels from the Jag. as I recall it looks like a right old works van with random debris and a copy of the Sun wedged between the dash and windscreen!

The same V6 albeit in N/A form powered the Metro 6r4 too, though later versions could be specced with the same twin turbo setup.

Personally, I think it's way cool.

  • I'm glad he got that warning light up his roof, haha

  • parcel courier!!

  • that,s cool

  • the owner of it saved it from being scrapped, as jaguar had it sitting around for years doing nothing.

wish i was the lucky person to be given a chance to own that.

  • it was justin law in, as has been mentioned, an ex jaguar hack with the 220 engine in it.

  • ah i saw that it was awsome i was in the buissness vip room with xograph it was awsome i got vip stands and i got on tv with eurosport

  • I remember that, i was there :)

    Great Vid

  • it was the test vehicle for jaguar when they developed the jx220, they could carry out engine and gearbox testing, along with noise testing and other things that are required of a car without having to build a chassis and they could keep it secret and very low key as these companies do. so i wouldn't describe it as a waste of time and money. (it turns out that the van does a faster 0-60 time than the xj220 itself)

  • @edstermk2 what a elitist git. your talking crap maaaaan.' a test vehicle for jaguar'? did you really just say that? a transit van a testbed for jaguar... OMG!!! thats the funniest, stupidest and most fatuous thing ive ever heard anyone say. 'yeah mate, the austin metro was a testbed for honda's first vtech engines...' really. why not tell us somat true like the xj220 was supposed to be 4wd v12. people put deposits down and received a rwd v6 with most of its parts raided from bins. TRUTH.

  • @FlopnosePimp Believe it or not, he was right. It was used to test the XJ220 running gear for everyday road use.Jaguar didn't want to risk their XJ220 breaking down on the side of the road and being seen, so they mounted a Transit Van onto the chassis of the XJ220 since it had a similar track and wheel base. I couldn't believe it myself but apparently that's the case.

  • @FlopnosePimp Did you read his comment or not? He said the reason why they used the old van, to keep it UNDER THE RADAR...Jesus Christ! Are some people getting to the point of retardedness, where they dont eve read the persons comment before reading it...

  • @edstermk2

no it wasnt..the owner built it from a scrap xj220 jag running gear.. and its 2008..

  • @jayeastanglia Why so liar?

  • @Ktmzqw ????

  • @jayeastanglia This was built by Jaguar themselves as a test mule for the XJ220

  • What a world class comment from someone who obviously wasn't there. It was during the lunch break at the BTCC event 4th May 2008 you knob. If you still don't believe it check the Collard & George crash vid. That was at the same event and there's no Cinzano banner in sight but I suppose that wasn't this year either.

  • really nice

  • nice they barly showed any of that on itv 4

  • From what I have read it had a Jag XJ220 engine and rear axle in the Transit. It was awesome to watch.

  • Cheers for the info. Our local takeaway should invest in one. I may get a warm pizza for once :)

  • ur videos r great i visit donington park daily aswell

  • Great work longhair!!

  • hahaha-when was this- i didn't see this on tv!

  • It did a couple of laps during the lunch break.
