  • AWESOME VIDEO!!! :) THANKS for sharing!!! I love, love, love this & am going to give it a try! :) ... THANKS SO MUCH! ...PLEASE, keep em' coming!!!...

  • Thank you! I love byzantine bracelets but they are so expensive! I can't wait to try to make my own!

  • Thank you, finally I get it.....

  • is the most beautiful when you put it through a square beams but to be soldered.

  • Oh the ring goes thru the ring! I get it.

  • I did not get that

  • It's a good idea to use a needle when pulling up the jump rings that comes up from the middle. I had a hard time finding out how to do this, but once I got it it was very easy. The tutorial should be done with HUGE rings making it easier to see the way it's done, because it is indeed not hard at all. Good luck people :)

(I made my own jump rings from a 1,2 mm thick wire with an inside diameter of 4,2mm)

  • how many rings are you use?

  • confusing...

  • I'm confused...I got my first 'v' to work...and then the second part that you said was tricky...I did just as you demonstrated...but mine did not look the same at all! Does diameter make a difference?

  • thank you, this finally makes it clear, I made some very nice earrings.

    kat

  • Thanks! I tried to follow instructions I had in a book but your video made it much easier!

  • it justs falls apart

  • What diameter has she used for the jump rings?

  • what a mess, it's beautiful. but i have tried 5 or 6 times and still can't get it. ahhhhhh

  • silly rabbit, dont ever use needle nose pliers when ya should be using flat nose pliers!

  • Why in the world did you make the second half of the unit so complicated.?!? You just repeat the what you did with the first three rings over and over again. The second half of the unit is made the same way as the first half.

  • putting a paper clip through the first 2 rings helps you know where it starts in case you lay it down and it lose it's shape. But I feel you need to keep tension on it or some of the rings loosen and may go in another direction and the shape is lost.

  • Wow!! That take great patience! I hope to attempt it one day but ....I'm new to jewellery making!!!

  • I'm searching for anodised wire to do this chain. Silver and Black.

  • ouch, my head hurts. I'm sure once you do a few it makes more sense but I need some hands on before I'll get this one. Very pretty, I learned a different way but it's left my brain now.

  • This seems a bit too tricky for me at the moment. I love how the finished product looks though. It's really pretty. Thanks for the video.

  • awesome!!! I wish I had searched You tube BEFORE I had paid for a tutorial ... yours is sooo much clearer and I will also buy fro your estore as well :)

  • When I try to make a byzantine chain when I hold it and let it hang it's ok but when I put it down it loses it's shape. am I doing something wrong??

  • @raziel2122 its the ring size that would do that

  • @raziel2122

Be sure that your using the proper aspect ratio. You should be able to find an aspect ratio table for the pattern (byzantine in this case) for the guage of wire you are using. Then be sure you are following the pattern correctly. It should maintain shape as you go along.

  • @JaneanEasley what is the aspect ratio in this video?

  • @trekranger The aspect ratio for the Byzantine Chain is 3.5 - So if for instance you wanted to use 20 gauge wire, you would need to have your jumprings about 3mm inner diameter. If you used 18 gauge wire your jumprings would need to be about 3.5 mm ID. If you used 16 gauge wire the jumprings would be about 4.5 mm ID. Hope that helps.

  • I followed this video last night and it worked perfectly. Thanks so much!

  • CONFUSE~~~~~~~~~

  • @fattypig88 I'm confused too. I'm new to jewellery making so this seems a bit too tricky for me at the moment. But it could also be because it's 3:54am here in the UK and I haven't slept yet, haha.

  • hi again... xD

  • hi.....

  • Nice

    XD

  • NICE NAILS..................!!!

  • Excellent video!

  • my mom didnt no how to do it so she made my dad. then my mom relized that she forgot to add a jumpring.

  • Very informative. Would love to see you demo a Jens pind chain.

  • Thank you thank you thank you!!! Saw this pattern in a magazine and puzzled over its instructions. Your video made sense for me!

  • I loved this video! My only question I have is how many Jump rings (18 gauge) do you need for a 9 1/2 bracelet?

  • maybe explain what a jump ring is... How are they diferent from regular chainmail rings?

  • they are the same

  • as far as i can tell, its just a name that jewlers give to chainmail rings. in other words, i think its just the same

  • they dont look any different

  • great video ... clear and camera angle was great.

    thanks

can you show how to make a toggle clasp too ?

  • This was an excellent video. Thank you so much for providing these instructions. Very clear and concise, and VERY helpful.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah can't belive it! She doesn't show the most shitty part, after you put 2 rings on an open ring on the closer side and close it with the other. Than just tells go trough the other side and thread it trough these and these jump rings but there are at least 4 or 5 possibillities where I can put that frickin ring!

  • The only hard part is making the jump rings, and closing them properly. Putting the chain together is quite easy

  • I'm not much of a jewelry maker, but I love your videos! You are very clear.

  • By far the easiest video to follow. Thank you ;)

  • Any tips on creating this with 5mm rings? I've been trying unsuccessfully to make 4 in 1 with 5mm rings. I can do the 4 in 1 part and make a chain long enough, but when I trying to connect each 4 in one section to another 4 in one section, due to them being so small it seems impossible.

  • @joeypesci do u know what size mm she is mAking this with?

  • great video, good detail, clear and concise. I guess you supply the components, so a great promo vid. Many suppliers wouldnt do this. well done you, great 'how to' video.

  • Oh how we love to make these..so many different varieties left up to the individual artist..Love and Light! blessed b~

  • nice nails.

  • thank you for the awesome video. Im going to love making these.

  • I was looking at the website, can you tell me how many jump rings are needed (if they are 2.7mm) to make a 16 or 18 inch chain? Info would be greatly apprecited so I know how many to buy

  • wow, very clear and concise. Although hats off to you for doing this with long nails, must be a pain.

  • fantastic videos, very well made and easy to follow.
