  • My tablet states that the 2 old posts on this channel are in an 'unsupported video format'..

Were the services, including the CHOIR ever filmed? Thanks.

  • Any footage of talks by Doc McGee?

  • 24 years after your gone, I might add! :)

  • Thank you, J Vernon McGee, for getting me interested in the Word again.

  • Great man of God!

  • i love his teaching, but disagree with him when he had said people who commit suicide can be forgiven and go to heaven.

  • @elohimthegods33 I was always taught that while suicide is a grave sin, we are to assume that their soul's fate is at the mercy of God, and only He can make that call.

  • @blaggard9 so GOD can forgive suicide after HE said in matthew15:19 for out of the heart proceed evil thoughts,(murders) jesus HIMSELF said it's evil to commit murder so it's sin to even commit self murder.you can not ask GOD to forgive for murdering yourself because you are aware of what you are doing.GOD's grace is sufficient yes,but HE is not a rewarder of sin.so you thank those suicide bombers in 9/11 went to heaven?you have to read your bible more carefully.

  • Been on the Bible Bus since 1973. Lynn Bussey, Dallas, Texas, U.S.A.

  • Dr. J. Vernon Mcgee is a man of simplicity and wisdom, who rightly dividing the word of God without compromise. He's one of the pillars of Conservative Christianity in his time, along with Pastors John Macarthur,David Hocking,John Hagee,Chucks Swindle,David Jeremiah,Charles Stanley and the late Perry F. Rockwood...God Bless on them.

  • Could someone please tell me what the name of the hym that is played at the begining of this and every radio program also is it the same hymn thats played at the end of the radio program. So the name of the hymn and if possible the choir name. greatly apreciated thanks.

  • "How Firm a Foundation" by some men's choir.

  • yeah (How Firm a Foundation, Ye Saints of the Lord) I actually just found it out right after I posted the comment right on haha. I apreciate it though and thanks. and I found out the last song they play at the end of the radio program is (Jesus paid it all)

  • "How Firm A Foundation" & "Jesus Paid It All" - I attended "The Church of the Open Door" during McGee's Ministry.

  • @angelscheff Thank you for the information and thanks to those that posed the question. Such beautiful hymns.

  • I think the hymns associated with the program are sung by "the Sixteen Singing Men". Some research and should be able to find the actual song.

  • I was born into a baptist family of intellectuals, but I ran from God because I could find something to disbelieve on my own through the Bible which I read thru without understanding.

Then I stumbled on J. Vernon McGee & finally met a man I could not disagree with except once during 5 yrs & by the end of that half-hour I was agreeing with him.

I never looked forward to the Bible before like that & I accepted my Messiah while McGee talked on Zech 12:10 because that's Messiah I want.

  • i hope i've been able to help others with the same kind of help with which dr mcgee helped me. i hope to see him in heaven someday and tell him these things personally.

  • @steevrawjers

    Amen

  • i've always enjoyed dr mcgee's teaching. i started listening to him in 1986 and then he was gone. he passed away too quickly for me. but i know he had a long career and fruitful life before he went to be with the lord. i still read his work and am still convinced that he is one of the greatest bible teachers of our time. his teachings have helped me not just to understand the words of the bible but how to practically apply the bible's message to my life in many different ways and areas.

  • His explanations are so clear and concise that the listener truly understands and you find yourself nodding in agreement. Obviously a brilliant man who was/is appreciated by everyone he touched.

And I absolutely LOVE his voice and accent. It's heartwarming and comforting in a way that I can't really explain.

  • I myself joined the Bible Bus when they started again on TWR a couple years ago. May I say, he is by far one of the best expositors in the world. May God raise up more faithful men like Dr. McGee

  • Thank you, I've listened to J. Vernon McGee on and off for many years.

  • Amen, freak. Same thing happened to me!

  • I am on my second trip on the Bible bus,J. Vernon McGee is one of the greatest teachers the Church has ever had.God bless Thru The Bible.

  • I have to second that, Dr. Mcgee has to be one of the best Bible teachers ever

  • I have to 3rd, 4th, & to infinity that, Dr. Mcgee is simple the very BEST!!! Although I must convey that Billy Graham has also done a pretty darn good of it :O)
