I saw Beck and Tal in concert. I had binoculars. Never used them, but for the trivial like when his glass bottle neck fell and smashed on the floor or to get a hold of his rig.
But when they "locked-in", you could hear it. Pure magic. Then it was worth to get a peek of their faces. They were "one".
@Gunsnclapton4 She is absolutely amazing, reason Jeff took her into his band. In her 20's she can blow past most seasoned greats! Would love to hear her play with John Paul Jones, "Jonesy", among all time best bass players!
It's a shame this doesn't show the rest of the song. Jeff Beck rips into a big solo. Hands it off to Buddy who wipes him off the map with his first phrase. Best guitarist alive. There's a reason Hendrix used to cancel his shows to go see him.
An amazing moment on stage...the entire show knocked my socks off...I'm no fan of Metallica - but with Lou Reed performing Sweet Jane - I changed my mind...they were consummate performers! Ray Davies was wonderful as well.
Wish Eric a speedy recovery for next year's tour with Jeff Beck, but glad he didn't make it, because the way Jeff Beck plays guitar a slowhand is not needed.
At first i was disappointed that Eric Clapton wasn't there, but Jeff Beck was awesome. And you can't go wrong with Buddy!. This was great! Still want to see Eric. :)
I'm pretty insulted at people who were demanding their money back because he wasnt playing----Did they rele think that they couldnt get someone else to play who was amazing
@g8crazybean hope you got to see Eric. JB would be my choice. we were secretly hoping Eric would not show up. Jeff did an awesome performance! considering he had only 3 days to gather everyone from all over the place to do this for RRHOF and the crowd. kudos to the Guv!!
woowee baby, nice, what a hommage to Mr. Guy, after he and Mr. Stewart lifted it from him in 1967. Wish the the entire Jeff Beck set was available on you tube, dvd, mp3 or whatever.. what a night, what a career..Jeff Beck rules!!! If I had been there after Jeff Beck's set I would have left. On the previous night I would have departed after "Superstition". Have never been a fan of Metallica or U2, or Springsteen.
Buddy always has so much joy, worth it all1

@g8crazybean Even Eric admits Jeff Beck is as good as him; add in Buddy Guy & you have better than any 10 greats!
