@ThaFunkster100 the F/A-18E has one of the higher angle of attack capabilities. With that said, the Rhino was never made for knife fighting. It's best asset is it's BVR. Its radar can even determine the type of plane it is encountering simply by the blades on the engines. If an F/A-18E finds itself in a knife fight, it can hold it's own, but generally speaking something went horribly wrong. Also remember, this is a promotional video FOR the F/A-18 Superbug, what do you expect?

My post referred to another one about the manouverability of a/c and, this is not personal opinion but objective thruth, russian a/c have better manouverability than american ones :) Take it easy mate!

@MrHeniu123 I have worked with both products. While I not only worked on F-16s in the USAF, I must say that this is by and far the most advanced simulator (this F/A-18) of a modern jet ever created for the MSFS series to date. Period.

Hey fellas, i recently acquired the vrs f/a-18 superbug. i have installed correctly etc, (i know what im doing) but there seems to be a slight problem with the aircraft model itself, but the rudders, ailerons, Joystick, pedals and elevators are not moving, i mean the plane works and flies fine but there is no animation in those ment-to-be moving parts, any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

@lmlove80 I wouldn't consider it bad taste. That's what the plane was designed for. The DCS game Blackshark has you in direct opposition fighting U.S. forces.
Furthermore, this is not a knock on my patriotism. I served my country honorably for 5 years. I do find it oversensitive to be offended by a commercial showing a U.S. plane fighting against Russian forces over Taiwan in an undisclosed location otherwise.
The bug itself is amazing and very high quality but its let down but having very little combat being stuck in FSX. If you want a tanker you have to add it to FSX yourself and Ive never been able to figure that out. The aircraft carriers need Aceleration pack to work (you can use a gauge file from a 3rd party and set it up to run without Acceleration but its tricky). Stunning aircraft stuck in a civilian non combat simulator. +10 for aircraft but only 5 for FSX

the F-22 is a great Bird but each aircraft has its pro's and con's the F-22 is fast but limited on range and weapons. you Can't put external any thing on it and its limited by what it can carry internal. and it has to be land based. the Super hornet can come from any were it can carry more fuel and any weapon's and weapon type's but the f-18 has drawbacks also.
the f-35 will most likely never happen Boeing is a year and a half behind and over budget the Navy is talking about 100+ more super hornet's E,F and G's. and the Super hornet can do more that what you are told. Trust me :).
I think the F/A-18 is a good aircraft and that the SU-27 is just fine as well. The SU-27 is a little more maneuverable but when it comes to the dogfighting it comes to the skill of the pilot which can vary. The F/A-18 is a great plane but personally the U.S. air force needs to come up with some new ones to match the newer technologies like the ef-2000.
what are you talking about? we have the f-22 which is way better than the ef-2000 and far as the su-27 an f-18 super hornet , yes the sukhoi may be more maneuverable but at the same time the super hornet is too an it has better avionics as well so the su-27s wouldnt even get close to them because of the aim 120D BVR and the aim 9X for close range.
@cfsVchris Yes they do have these two but they are more for stealth that maneuverability. They are not capable of generating the kind of G forces that the ef-2000 can. I have done research on it and I found out that they made a G suit for it that allows the pilot to withstand over 9 G's. The aircraft, however, can withstand far more than that.
The F35 and F22 are multi-role fighters, designed for stealth, ground attack, and dogfighting as well. What do you think the thrust vectoring on the F22 is for??
Hell, anything with thrust vectoring is a thousand times more maneuverable than anything without. And besides, both planes are made to engage targets before theyre picked up, thus eliminating the need for a dogfight.

It wouldn't, and the F/A-18 indeed has fought Sukhois and Migs on numerous occasions and has won.
What makes the plane so outright good is a total fighting force implementation of radar, communication with other systems, weapons and pilot training. While not necessarily as maneuverable, maneuverability is only half the battle. This is why the U.S. in every engagement since World War II has held supreme air dominance over every country it has fought.

@valkyrie321 No, the US kicks ass becauseit uses the F-15. The F-22 will be useless in an EMP Attack, but the F-15 will smile and kick ass. I put he F-15 or F-14 against the F-18 any time, and any other craft for that matter. Remove the F-22 electronics, keep the stealth and you got a godly plane.
F-22, F-28, F-16, F-35 are all built to not last, to have many parts, to sell, to make the corporation that made it MONEY. F-14-15 built to last. You take a wing off an F-18 and see if it flies.
Firstly being from the UK does not stop you being bias, it seems to me a lot of people don't like russia very much and a lot of people give the impression that they use outdated low tech aircraft which of course is not true. Secondly when might I ask has the F/A-18 ever beaten the Su-27? Also depends on the variant as I believe there is a thrust vectoring variant which would rape the tits off the Hornet no doubt.
One thing I have been waiting to see is more G induced effects on aircraft. Wing vibration/ fog coming off the leading edges and wings/ etc.

The bug itself is amazing and very high quality but its let down but having very little combat being stuck in FSX. If you want a tanker you have to add it to FSX yourself and Ive never been able to figure that out. The aircraft carriers need Aceleration pack to work (you can use a gauge file from a 3rd party and set it up to run without Acceleration but its tricky). Stunning aircraft stuck in a civilian non combat simulator. +10 for aircraft but only 5 for FSX

On AI Carriers 2 Only session the VRS F18 came up subject that you can shoot people down on it, is this true, and they said they have to have full real mode on.

it has a bigger radar cross section and isn't as fast in the long run. but put both the aircraft to gather. and the team of F-18 and f-22 is unstoppable. build on the strength of both aircraft not the weakness

However, as far as I have heard the F-22 was shitcanned. The money for the project dried up and what we have right now is all we are getting in terms of that aircraft.

the F-22 is a great Bird but each aircraft has its pro's and con's the F-22 is fast but limited on range and weapons. you Can't put external any thing on it and its limited by what it can carry internal. and it has to be land based. the Super hornet can come from any were it can carry more fuel and any weapon's and weapon type's but the f-18 has drawbacks also.

the f-35 will most likely never happen Boeing is a year and a half behind and over budget the Navy is talking about 100+ more super hornet's E,F and G's. and the Super hornet can do more that what you are told. Trust me :).

I think the F/A-18 is a good aircraft and that the SU-27 is just fine as well. The SU-27 is a little more maneuverable but when it comes to the dogfighting it comes to the skill of the pilot which can vary. The F/A-18 is a great plane but personally the U.S. air force needs to come up with some new ones to match the newer technologies like the ef-2000.

what are you talking about? we have the f-22 which is way better than the ef-2000 and far as the su-27 an f-18 super hornet , yes the sukhoi may be more maneuverable but at the same time the super hornet is too an it has better avionics as well so the su-27s wouldnt even get close to them because of the aim 120D BVR and the aim 9X for close range.

FYI, the U.S. Air Force HAS come up with a better weapon. Its called the F-22.
Now, the U.S. NAVY on the other hand, the American force which utilizes the F18, is switching over to the F-35 within 5 years.

@cfsVchris Yes they do have these two but they are more for stealth that maneuverability. They are not capable of generating the kind of G forces that the ef-2000 can. I have done research on it and I found out that they made a G suit for it that allows the pilot to withstand over 9 G's. The aircraft, however, can withstand far more than that.

The F35 and F22 are multi-role fighters, designed for stealth, ground attack, and dogfighting as well. What do you think the thrust vectoring on the F22 is for??
Hell, anything with thrust vectoring is a thousand times more maneuverable than anything without. And besides, both planes are made to engage targets before theyre picked up, thus eliminating the need for a dogfight.

It wouldn't, and the F/A-18 indeed has fought Sukhois and Migs on numerous occasions and has won.
What makes the plane so outright good is a total fighting force implementation of radar, communication with other systems, weapons and pilot training. While not necessarily as maneuverable, maneuverability is only half the battle. This is why the U.S. in every engagement since World War II has held supreme air dominance over every country it has fought.

@valkyrie321 There is no better way to explain it. Amazing video. I can't wait to get that plane. It doesn't matter how manuverable your are, because when you are coming up behind a Mig or SU, and your undetected, it doesnt matter, it's one of those "If I can see you, you can't see me" :)
It's the US's extremely wonderful trained pilots, along with avionics the Migs and Su's will take a while to have.
They are just figuring out ECM, we have had it for awhile

@valkyrie321 No, the US kicks ass becauseit uses the F-15. The F-22 will be useless in an EMP Attack, but the F-15 will smile and kick ass. I put he F-15 or F-14 against the F-18 any time, and any other craft for that matter. Remove the F-22 electronics, keep the stealth and you got a godly plane.
F-22, F-28, F-16, F-35 are all built to not last, to have many parts, to sell, to make the corporation that made it MONEY. F-14-15 built to last. You take a wing off an F-18 and see if it flies.

Firstly being from the UK does not stop you being bias, it seems to me a lot of people don't like russia very much and a lot of people give the impression that they use outdated low tech aircraft which of course is not true. Secondly when might I ask has the F/A-18 ever beaten the Su-27? Also depends on the variant as I believe there is a thrust vectoring variant which would rape the tits off the Hornet no doubt.
