Nearly two-thirds of Minnesotans (64%) surveyed think Norm Coleman (R) should concede the U.S. Senate race to Al Franken (D), according to a new Star Tribune Minnesota Poll. Just 28% consider last week's appeal by Coleman to the Minnesota Supreme Court "appropriate."
If you start reading thins you CANT stop .Once ther was a little girl named Cecilia. She was a little 7 year old who got strangled and raped by a man =.If you dont post this to 15 other videos you will see CCecilia standing at the end of your bed with a knife and she will kill you
You have to do this by midnight or you will be dead
i cant stand norm coleman but the last thing we need is an acid-head from the old snl days like al franken. god american politics continues to fall to new lows that i thought were impossible
What is wrong with making the Bush economy permanent? You are all acting like victims. If it was not for the fundamentals, we will be in recession right now. Get a clue!
Why isn't the United States Presidential election day, a national holiday?
Not important enough?
Columbus Day closes down the US Postal Service, Banks & many businesses...but something as vital as the 2008 Presidential race is on a Tuesday? Come on....
Here are some ideas: Vote on Halloween and pass out red, white and blue candy to people in costumes voting at the poll places. To REALLY increase voting let people vote multiple times if they come back wearing different costumes.
#2: Vote on Christmas because President Obama won't take office until January anyway. The 'lame duck' period is as pointless as voting on Tuesday!
On Christmas people go to church and that's where they go to vote usually. Two birds, one stone! Vote for baby Jesus!
what neither dealt with is the possible added expense to states for keeping polling places open 2 days instead of one...but i like weekend voting...especially after the last 3 voting cycles...people should not have to stand in line for hours to vote
Your reservations have nothing to do with what day or days voting takes place.
Availability of voting machinery is a separate debate, though very much related to why the felons that currently run our elections want to continue the farce of 2nd Tue in Nov elections.
Here's another good idea for a political site.....Why New Hampshire?
It's time to give other states a chance to be first, let someone else decide who gets the political edge. New Hampshire is quaint, it has tasty seafood, lots of granite, beautiful fall colors and a very tall (for the eastern U S) mountain. What it doesn't have is a bit of special insight into politics. Maybe it has an over developed sense of self importance, but no great insight.
From my take it's because New Hampshire, unlike New York or New Mexico or New anywhere else, already has a Liberty oriented premise. No reason the make the battle for freedom more difficult. New Hampshire was chosen because the change to Free incurs less cost. A place that is already leaning toward Free will incur less effort to make Free.
Live for free or whine is much closer to the truth.
Having actually lived there for 5 1/2 years I am kind of familiar with the mentality of the constituents.I'm not saying EVERY person there is like that, but wow, they do have a lot of ASNEM members. What you have in N.H. now is one hell of a lot of people that didn't have the gumption to seek greener pastures when all the old mills and manufacturies closed decades ago. Not the best demographic to seek out for guidance. But they're quaint
So where do you stand? With those seeking Freedom, or with the whiners.
I see ancillary evidence you support the unlawful immigration by droves of Mexicans. After all, if your home doesn't provide an environment amenable to improving your lot, just move. Why improve the place you live in when you can just move?
Hey Plutonwolf, do try to pay attention. The topic at hand is those _moving_ to New Hampshire, not the fine folks already there.
You sir, are obviously off your meds which is plain for all to see, desperately needed, you jump to conclusions, spout incoherencies so fast i'd call you the Vulcan Canon of inanity.
NH is first because THEY, NH, passed a law saying THEY have to be first. That is it.
As to my supporting illegal immagrants, how sore IS your ass after dragging that one out of it?
As to my supporting whiners, I fire them. Period. I'd most likely not even hire you. Sanity means a lot to my needs.
Apologies to the rest of the audience for replying to this troll, I do know the rule "Don't feed the troll" I just have a problem with letting ignorant ad hominem go unanswered.
What part of "Do try to pay attention" is troubling you Plutonwolf?
NH wasn't chosen by FreeStaters because a Law was passed in NH making NH the Free State Project objective.
[continued in following post = fricken post size limit]
I made my statement about your support of de facto illegal immigration to the US based on your statement "What you have in N.H. now is one hell of a lot of people that didn't have the gumption to seek greener pastures..."
That is exactly what the majority of our unlawfully immigrating Southern border neighbors are doing. Moving North to "greener pastures"
If you'd like to address the issues posed please do so. Your ad hominem attack humours no one but yourself.
Taking a bit of my own advice. This isn't a Free State Project thread. The mere mention of New Hampshire sent pictures of sugar plums and hardy individuals dancing in my head. So to answer my question the part troubling me [aka paying attention] is that I should have responded --> Ask a Free Stater, as they have chosen to reside in New Hampshire first, and they would like to have an impact on Law and attain an orderly society of men ruled by Law consensually agreed upon.

Al Frankenberry is a pompus elitist piece of trash. He will lie and say whatever he needs. When asked to be interviewed by a local radio host, his response...."Depends on your politics" So, IF he were to win here in MN, he would only represent his "like minded" followers???

It doesn't matter that he was "brought up" in a working class neighborhood. He has lived the past 20+ years with an elitist attitude. And that comes from what I have watched Al franken say and do myself. I go to St Paul everyday, I drive by his campaign office, I see who and what he represents. I, for one, do not believe he represents the United States of America that I live in. Period. And I know Norm Coleman from before he was mayor of st paul, he's not 100% either. He's had the koolaid too.

What do you think about required ID for voting?
What do you think about people that jump state borders and vote twice or three times?
Thanks.

Coleman is a Bush poodle. He always has been.
He won by default. If Wellstone's plane hadn't crashed, Coleman would have be trounced and faded into well deserved obscurity.

Al Franken came from a working class neighborhood to educate himself. Don't spit garbage the GOP sends to your mailbox without checking the facts.

That's how voting is supposed to work.
Like minded individuals choose someone to represent them.
In Democracy, which thank goodness this country is not, the largest group of Like Minded individuals get to emplace their leader in government.
Are you dense from birth or did you have to practice?
