I like the voice being coherent and understandable. I like the other sounds being shrapnel . They are good as "sounds" it is pretty far out for a non connoisseur. It is balanced and wonderful.
does no one else feel like the sort of grandiose vocal is a bit unsuited to the fragmented, at times understated electronics? perhaps some are drawn on the basis of it being a harsh juxtaposition, but from where i'm sitting, the vocals should be far more distant and processed. is there an instrumental?
@sheatheman Not sure you want to hear this, but I agree only to a certain degree. The electronics are similar to those of Sakamoto's last concert in May which I attended. Too many electronics, drowning Sakamo's wonderful piano music, just like in David's case. They just don't marry well together.
@Maxiclaudi i can't speak on the pairing of fennesz and sakamoto, but check insen by sakamoto and alva noto. that is definitely a good paring. have you listened to endless summer by fennesz? his solo work?
