  • Just cause the dog is a smithfield and has a docked tail doesnt mean it was cut off. yoy can definetely tell when it has been cut off, the hair doesnt grow the same, and if your still not sure take it to the vet. Smithfields are the best aussie stumpy tails ever i had one!

  • Looks a lot like my ACD Sheila. Love this video!! "......a good cattle dog, is a tired cattle dog........."

  • some of the cattle dogs are actually a version called "stumpy tailed cattle dogs" and are born with the short tail.

  • cute dog!...mine was born with a shorter tail i dunno what thats about..lol probably mixed with a corgi lol!

    CHEERS!

  • Thanks for the response. I agree with you about docking their tails. He was already docked when we adopted him from the animal shelter.

  • your dog is actually a Smuthfield which is a strain of Cattle dog and they usually have the docked tail unfortunately, you will also note your dog is spotty with no tan that also denotes Smithfield. Nice dog though I take my girl Asja to a dog beach too and it is her fave placetake a look at her on my page!

  • Nice video, but it always makes me so sad to see blue heelers w/ their tails docked. It's very cruel and unusual and makes Aussies around the world cringe and think were idiots here in the states.

  • ive got one with its tail docked because ive herd that if there gonna stay outside and get their tails broked or stepped on it will enjure them badly but when there young it dosnt hurt them as much so.... what ever your bath is have fun with the heeler and some say its cruel having thier tails not docked cause of it getting steeped on by cattle
