There have been multiple ethnological studies that have found that diverse societies, no matter what ethnic groups are involved, tend to have lower levels of trust, and lower levels of community involvement. Plus, moral relativism and broken social cohesion, are definitely disasterous in their own right.

btw I would not consider Chinese as a very "integrating" people.

There may not be a clash of civilisations but there will be a power struggle ie whose values reign. Muslim or Secular Western. Of course, Islamic values will eventually dominate because they have higher birthrates than Secular Europeans and this is important in a democracy. Its not rocket science.
