i always use an army of infantry right in the beginning in ra3 for rising sun:

build 3 reactors

3 barracks

3 refineries

pour out like 50 troops from the barracks

attack!

90% of the time, at least one enemy base is overrun, even brutal!

by the time they beat u back, (if they do)

u will have another death wave ready at your base, and finish them off.

ive used this strategy for an early advantage against computer players, to knock one out of the game quick

O.K so I follow your directions and do I make 50 troops from each barracks or just total? Because I think you know that the game only allows you to have 50 units on the battlefield at one time... so yeah thanks for that tip pwnrzero I'll keep that in mind. P.S: Also, if you or anyone else know any straegies for the Allies and Soviets, that would much appreciated!!!

Well I think the Allies' base was poorly defended. He should've had some airforce or some turrets, good play and a risky but good tactic.

I also usually go on the defensive during a skirmish, such as building a whole bunch of turrets and leaving my units behind so I don't get overrun.

I have been playing Red Alert 3 for quite sometime and I think it is a great game...although I have a small problem: I have an X-Box 360 but no Live, so I need to stick with doing regular CPU matches and I can beat the CPU on easy but I can't even beat them on MEDIUM!!!So, can any Red Alert 3 fan out there give me any tips? I am playing Empire, that does not mean because I am not good with Soviet and Allies.... and if u play like that, u will never win against with any pros... Trust me.... my friend is the 1st ra3 player in Korea... I saw the most game play then any other players -_- In additional, xbox and PC is very different...

If u just build like that, obviously Allies will find out u r building airfield,,,,,,, so they will start rush with Peace Keepers... and u will not able to block it ;;;;

I must admit I always use soviet, but I

think empire looks pretty good for rushing.

If you attach those annoying drones to the harvesters for slowing it down or you drop down some tengus in a walled-in harvester compound, you can do some real annoying stuff very early on. It might be just me but i think those things are pretty hard to counter effectively if you are quick enough.

I'm sure you had a decent reason for selling your MCV, which was: winning the game. But by doing that you decided that it either ends in 5 minutes with his defeat or yours. either way: their would be not much of a game if you do that over and over again...that must be sooo boring

I had to sell my mcv to get $2500 and Engeneer to capture the oil tank....

if I didnt do that, I would not able to make Sunami tanks..........

Your enemy was worse than an easy computer. In fact, you could have sent one Tengu and you would have decimated his entire base/army. Also, a high APM needs good coordination, ie. macro and strokes. No point having it otherwise, other than feeling like a Starcraft player.

Not a good rush, any half decent player would have built a good counter in the time it took you to get ready, but that time the soviet player could have had a few stickles which would mess up your rush. Also by selling your mcv it meant that if the rush failed you would be screwed.

tsss, what fun is there in rushing...I'm looking for a way to counter all possible rushes because I don't like to do it myself, it's too cheap. It's kinda hard to find a way to counter everything though, the rusher always has the advantage off course since he knows what specific rush he's gonna do.

rushes are just a kickoff, most good players wont lose to a rush. since in ra3 ,killing a good player with a rush.. Isn't possible. it can be done.. but on the rare occasion. Rushing is also good way to scout and sometimes gives you the upper hand in any fight. The fun in rushing is the micro involved. controlling the units making the most use of them before they die.

My comp must be the worst in the world, every RA3 video I watch the guy has ultra high graphics and their game runs normal speed. I have medium graphics and the game runs twice as slow as normal and looks crap :(

I do kind of the same thing except rush build 10 imperial warriors and 10 tankbusters. experienced players know this rush though and simple garrisoned buildings can stop this quick. great vid though!
