  • wow man you guys start workin on cars at the age of 2 or what! awesome!

  • Great vid. You guys are using your noggins.

  • how about a valve cover gasket

  • um how did you remove the crank seal? noob question lol

  • Great vid guys!

  • Have you ever counted the notches in between the cams and crank pulley on the timing belt to help judge where they go, or is that really necessary once you have tension? I noticed (on the driver side) cam pulley will move clockwise about an inch once you take tension off the timing belt.

  • Awesome tutorial, I need to do this. Would it be the same for a 2004 STI? My timing belt cover is dripping oil and it smokes when it drips to exhaust. I have to keep it under boost to get around.

  • @M16A2evans Thanks-yes it's the same for an STI-only there's Dual overhead cams instead-Also-sometimes it's veryyyyy difficult to take off the cam sprockets so make sure you have the right tools

  • It's good to see some kids that know what they are doing.

  • Great video! I feel much better doing mine now that I've seen it. Thanks!

  • @zachwingfield same from nz ... ive done the seals and put on tpc etc ,but still doesnt fire up any ideas ???? pls

  • Hey maybe you can help me I'm doing the same thing you doing. I kind off mess up on the step. Instead of rotating the crank to align all three cam after I take the crank pulley off. I took the belt off now the right cam is align but the left cam passenger side is off an it move side to side is not hard like the other other cam. Pleased I need help badddddddd thanks I can be reach at 407 492 2984 I can email you video so you can see what im talking about

  • Great video Zach. The and audio and different camera shots are nice clear which is rare for you tube. I got an oil leak under the front end of my 97 impreza. Can you tell me what made you replaced these seals? like what were the symptoms?

  • @benlubberts Thanks Ben, my symptoms: Oil dipstick was always low and I had to keep adding oil to my car about a quart a month. Also, I saw a lot of oil under my engine bay from leakage. Where ever I parked my car I noticed oil on the ground. I never take my car in but the Subaru dealership was offering a free service check up so I took advantage of it and it was just what I thought.

  • @zachwingfield That is what is happening to my friends Nissan truck, so all the seals should be replaced? or only the one that is leaking?

  • @ChiQuiS29KiSs Ya replace all of them while you can.

  • thanks man.. I really appreciate it.

  • dude, how about a camry 97-2001? do u need to remove the whole engine out?

  • @jabermazigh81 Ya you probably do. I'm not sure but to make it easier you might have to. Take off your 4 motor mount bolts and lift your engine out a little bit to do it if you have to

  • I wish I knew this much about cars. :(

  • @SubieSean haha bro it just takes persistence, constantly researching and trying things out.

  • once again great job with explaining everything very detailed!

  • hahaha "dude they play so much games its ridiculous".."unplug the ecu wiring on this fan here....you mean the power?"
