  • For everyone who doesn't care for the intro, 4:45 takes you to the start of the actual song

  • This song actually got me into Bruce....I always loved his radio stuff but had never listened to any album. Anyway I was in a record shop one day and picked up Asbury Park from a discount bin...flipped it over and saw 'Blinded by the Light' was on it. I bought it there and then because I loved the M.Mann version. Been into Bruce ever since.

  • why is it that i think of hendrix when i hear this song?

  • What Great song Form is first album amazing job Springsteen

  • Now I understand why MMann made it a hit, not Sprinsteen...sorry Bruce, some people were made to sing other peoples music. E-street was plenty funky, but Bruce just didn't have the right tone to make it a hit

  • yuck. Manfred Mann's did to this song what Hendrix did to Along the Watchtower.

  • @DEATHbyHEMLOCK And Aretha to Otis Redding's "Respect".

  • i apologize for the double post, but could you please tell me who is plays the drums for this show?

  • @gmoop12 It's Ernest Carter, replaces the fired Vini Lopez !

    Thanks for your comments:-)

  • @MsBrucejuice ah so it predates mighty max! thank you!!

  • the recording of new york city serenade from this show rivals the main point recording. it's amazing.

  • R. I. P., Big Man.

  • @jplew138 I'm pretty sure Springsteen is still with us....

  • This one's for Clarence Clemons.

  • I love how Bruce can play so many different styles and they all sound awesome

  • i never heard bruce like this when i was growing up - great blues jam!

  • Tonight I heard on the radio Alice cooper say that this was a springsteen, was he first or manfred?

  • @tb8202 It's Bruce's and on his first album Greetings From Asbury Park

  • @tb8202 Just like "For You" and "Spirit In The Night", all covered by Manfred Mann

  • @tb8202 Manfred Mann made a pretty good bit of change making remakes of Springsteen and Dylan songs. The band did a good job with them and certainly added to them, but most Manfred Mann hits came from Springsteen or Dylan.

  • @tb8202 Bruce wrote it, but Manfred Manns Earth Band funked it up and imho they did it better than the boss

  • love the jamz

  • most of brucies tracks live are better then the studio ! take the hammersmith 75 for example every track is just soo much better than the studio .when the live tracks are bertter than the studio it shows a true artist !

  • @kennethh70 Greatest She's the One ever from that concert

  • Wow, a totally different side of Bruce. Thanks for posting this.

  • David on the keys no doubt!

  • lotta sandford and sons in that intro. boom boom carter is the man

  • @MsBrucejuice its the original version

  • best version of the song i've ever heard. horrible recording, but this is like finding the dead seas scrolls. gotta be grateful for the find. thanks.

  • @2AmyLongoria it would be the best...because he wrote and recorded it first...people dont seem to know that this song is springsteens not the mann band

  • best version of the song i've ever heard. horrible recording, but this is like finding the dead seas scrolls. gotta be grateful for the find. thanks.

  • @2AmyLongoria its way better then finding the dead sea scrolls

  • As a great man once said AaarrrrrrrG!!! this is fookin painful!

  • I love this version! It shows a whole other "jammy" side to Bruce and band, thanks so much for posting!
